It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

PHOTOS: Tooro King (Omukama) Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I attends Sunday Mass at Virika Cathedral in Fort Portal Catholic Diocese on October 18, 2026. He is accompanied by king mother (Omujwera Nyina Omukama) Yusta Asiimwe, and other kingdom officials. Sunday Mass was led by Fort Portal Bishop Robert K. Muhiirwa.
The Mass coincided with World Mission Sunday, when Catholics worldwide pray for missionaries and support the Church’s evangelising mission. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the observance.
Since his installation, Nyabongo I has attended prayers at St John’s Cathedral in Ruwenzori Diocese, an Anglican church, and Friday prayers at Kabarole Main Mosque. His attendance at Virika Cathedral is part of a series of visits to different faith communities.

Honored to serve as Guest of Honor at the launch of my dear friend, fellow Rotarian, and banker Dr. Fabian Kasi’s powerful new book, Entrusted, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
From a boy with a collapsed school box to an exceptional institutional leader, Fabian’s story is a masterclass in character, formation, and stewardship. True leadership isn't about ownership; it’s about leaving things stronger than we found them.
Grab a copy of Entrusted today—every purchase supports students who have the ability but lack the means to continue their education.
What has been placed in your hands, and how shall you leave it better?

My heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us at Kampala Serena Hotel for the launch of 'Entrusted.'
Last night was not just about a book. It was a moment to reflect on a simple truth that has guided my journey - Leadership is not owned, it is entrusted!
From a humble beginning as a son of a mechanic, to the privilege of leading @CentenaryBank from 9th to 2nd position over 16 years, I have learned that titles fade, but stewardship remains.
In ‘Entrusted,’ I share the values that carried me; preparation, discipline, humility, resilience and service beyond self. My hope is that it will speak to the next generation of leaders who understand that true impact is not measured by what we achieve for ourselves, but by what we build for others.
Thank you for entrusting me with your time, your presence, and your belief in this story.

Yesterday, I had the honor of flagging off the 2026 CoRSU Disability Charity Walk on behalf of the Katikkiro.
This initiative aims to bring hope to children with disabilities and raise essential funds to support surgeries and specialized care for at least 100 vulnerable children.
The Kingdom of Buganda remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting welfare, healthcare, and community development initiatives.
