Rest in Peace. Thanks for your wonderful vision for the financial markets in Uganda.

A child should never have to grow up wondering if they will ever get the chance to learn, dream, and build a better future. Every child deserves that chance, and it begins with us. Congratulations to RC Kololo Summit View on signing the MOU to develop an Early Childhood Centre at Summit View Army Primary School, made possible by the generous donation of the Dilshad Salim Pabani Family. Rotarians, let us turn our love for children into action. Let us invest in education today and give the next generation a future worth dreaming about. #RotaryEyamba

Behind every Senior 4 candidate is a dream worth fighting for, sacrifices made, and someone who has prayed, hoped, and believed in them, sometimes even when they doubted themselves. To our young people, especially our Interactors @interact9213, as you begin your exams, believe in yourself. You are more capable than you realise. Take each paper with courage, trust the preparation you have put in, and remember that one exam cannot define all that you are or all that you can become. To the parents, guardians, and fellow Rotarians of @rotaryd9213 with candidates, we know the hopes, prayers, and sacrifices you carry in your hearts. You have walked this journey with them. Now, let us keep them in our prayers as they do their part. #RotaryEyamba #GKFoods

My visit to Tooro and @ObukamaBwaTooro remains a cherished memory, marked by the warmth of its people, the friendships we shared, the weather and the rich heritage of service I encountered. With that personal connection, I warmly congratulate Akiiki @toorokingdompm Amstrong upon his reappointment as Interim Prime Minister of @ObukamaBwaTooro. May you continue to uphold the Baragirakiki legacy of service and leadership. 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲. @KampalaSouth has launched a call for partners to expand its lifesaving maternal & child health initiatives across underserved communities in Uganda. The call was made by President @FranKakooza1 alongside @rotaryd9213 Governor @dgrotaryd9213 and @MinofHealthUG Director General of Health Services Dr. @olaro_charles at the @UgandaMediaCent as the club marked 14 years of sustained investment in MCH. Since 2012, the club has worked with government, communities, health workers, donors and partners to strengthen health facilities through maternity infrastructure, medical equipment, staff accommodation, WASH, outreaches and capacity building. The Lasting Impact is already reaching families; 1. At 𝗞𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗜𝗜 in Mukono District: 417 ultrasound scans, 581 child immunisations and 153 antenatal visits recorded by mid-2026. 2. 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘇𝗶 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗜𝗜 in Kabale District: Targeted child immunisation and antenatal care drives. 3. 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 in Mbale: Maternal health outreaches and essential equipment support. 4. 𝗦𝘁. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗶 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗜𝗜 in Gomba District: Capacity building and essential medical supplies. 5. 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 in Busesa: Capacity building and medical provisions. Now, the club is asking partners to help close the next set of critical gaps. The club is seeking support for automated Complete Blood Count machines, oxygen concentrators and expanded ultrasound services, equipment that can strengthen early diagnosis, improve emergency response and support safer maternal care. Partners can contribute equipment, funding, technical expertise or strategic support to help health facilities serve more mothers and children. #RotaryEyamba | #RotaryKonyo | #RotaractLegacy

Some mornings, @Rotary reminds you why the little things matter. While at Komamboga Health Centre III, @RcKisaasiKyanja stood alongside families, helping to protect more than 200 babies through immunisation and supporting over 200 expectant mothers with Mama Kits for safer, more dignified motherhood. Behind every number is a mother hoping for a safe delivery, and a child whose future is just beginning. That is the beauty of service. Sometimes, saving the future starts with protecting one little life today. #RotaryEyamba

Thousands of mothers and children reached. 💙 Today at the Uganda Media Centre, the Rotary Club of Kampala South marked 14 years of maternal and child health work across rural Uganda. Sometimes, Creating Lasting Impact Starts with a Better Learning Environment. At Kiteezi Church of Uganda Primary School in Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso District, @RcKiteezi is helping create a school environment where more than 710 pupils can learn, grow and thrive. Through an investment of USD 6,500, the club refurbished a three-classroom block, transforming the learning spaces from the floors and walls to gutters, windows, doors and a fresh coat of paint. The transformation tells the story before, during and after. The club also invested a further USD 130 in a water purification system and pump, helping provide clean water for direct consumption by learners. For a school serving 710 pupils, these improvements mean more than a refurbished building and new equipment. They mean greater comfort, safety and dignity for children as they learn. #RotaryEyamba| #RotaryKonyo| #RotaractLegacy

Rotary transforms lives through @MakerereRotary . Indeed #RotaryEyamba
A decade into her journalism career, Vivian Agaba had one question she could not shake: what next? The answer came at a Rotary club meeting in Kampala, where a conversation with a fellow journalist from Cameroon pointed her toward the Rotary Peace Fellowship at the Makerere University Rotary Peace Center. She applied in 2023. Was not selected. Attended the Capstone Conference that same year, watched fellows from across the world present their social change initiatives, and made a silent vow to come back. She applied again in 2024. In 2025, she was selected as a Cohort 9 Makerere University Rotary Peace Fellow. That persistence changed everything. During a lecture on media and peacebuilding, Vivian found her answer. Peace Journalism: the practice of reporting that reduces harm, promotes dialogue, and refuses to amplify conflict for the sake of a story. Her Social Change Initiative turned that conviction into action. She brought together senior police officers, prison superintendents, and journalists to work through their rights and responsibilities toward each other, covering press freedom, international protections for journalists, and how attacks on media erode public trust and electoral transparency. Vivian has now begun registering the Global Peace Journalism Foundation, which is designed to nurture a new generation of journalists who use their craft to reduce harm, build dialogue, and advance social justice. 10 editions of Rotary 5-A-Side and somehow the football keeps getting faster, while my legs keep filing complaints. What a tournament! Congratulations to every team that turned up, battled hard and kept the Rotary spirit alive. Proud to see my club, @KampalaSouth in the mix. We may not all agree on the score, but we can definitely agree on one thing, next year its coming Home undefeated. 10 editions down. Same Rotary family. More football. More stories. #RotaryEyamba
