Friday concluded with a noble assignment presiding over the Africa Peace Concert, where we raised $113,400 for The Rotary Foundation towards an endowment supporting the Rotary Peace Center at Makerere University.
Today, more than ever, the world and Africa in particular needs sustained efforts to promote peace and prevent conflict. It is our collective responsibility to make peacebuilding a shared priority.

"Rotarians worldwide are united by one belief: peace is possible. It's not just the absence of conflict—it’s about understanding, compassion, and empowering others.
Every small act of kindness brings us closer to a peaceful world. Together, we can make a difference.
A total of $113,400 was generously donated by Rotarians and well-wishers. The funds were presented to support our mission for peace and positive change."
Our guest of Guest Of Honor and Rotary International Director Elect Emmanuel Katongole said.
