Enjoyed a visit from the author @simonjameshunt today @BelgraveAcademy! Lucy loved listening to 'Delilah Rose the Bogey Princess' and she has already read her signed copy of both books! 📖

Today, we remember the sacrifices made by all those involved in the D-Day landings.
On this day 80 years ago, more than 5,000 ships and landing craft delivered 150,000 troops to five beaches in Normandy. 4,440 Allied soldiers lost their lives on D-Day - the first day of Operation Overlord, which ultimately brought about the liberation of German-occupied Western Europe.

It's been a long day, but as I was marking I came across a comment left by a child at the end of a lesson. A lovely reminder of my 'why'. 😊💖
Feeling SO excited for my first Summer Term teaching in Year 6! Y6 show, prom, Crocky Trail and cinema trips & so much more... They are all amazing & it's going to be a lot of fun! 🌟
My class are going to be SO excited when I show them this message from @RL_Stine tomorrow! Not only does he love their window display for WBD, but he's taken the time to send them a message too. Amazing! 🤩 @BelgraveAcademy
So proud of J7 for their effort, enthusiasm and creativity creating our World Book Day window display! They picked Goosebumps (a firm favourite!), had a vision and made it happen. 👻🎃📖 @BelgraveAcademy @RL_Stine

One of the things I'm really not good at is developing answers from students. I'm much better at asking questions these days but need to work on developing answers. I have a cheat sheet I'm planning to use

It's a 5🌟 review from a Year 1 goody for Julia Donaldson's #TheBaddies - illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
Lots of giggles were had in the making of this video!

Making an effort to have a bit more 'me time' outside of work.
Face mask on and a bubble bath running. Time to relax! 🛀😍
I haven't been at work for 6 weeks now and I'm going back tomorrow. Feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement.
Today I'm going to make the most of lots of cuddles and enjoy family time. 💖

I highly recommend school trips to @RAFMUSEUM Cosford. Year 6 at @BelgraveAcademy had an amazing time and learnt so much about different battles and planes due to the very informative volunteers there. We will definitely be returning!
