On October 20, 2026, the Prosperity Party regime carried out a drone strike on Sana Primary School in Dera Woreda, Southern Gondar, while students were attending classes, killing students and injuring numerous others, with injuries ranging from severe to minor.
At approximately 11:40 AM local time, a separate strike destroyed the municipal administration office in Weleshi town, Andabet Woreda.

Ethiopia's Alliance for Survival (AFS) has responded to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's C-SPAN remarks, rejecting the "separatist" and "terrorism" labels. The AFS says its operations are self-defense after the Abiy regime abandoned the Pretoria Agreement, and urges Washington to take a balanced stance.

Sorry you lost your father so young. But he didn’t die for Ethiopia. He died settling a grudge the people in power wanted settled. Generations of Ethiopians have died in Eritrea pursuing causes they never fully understood. There’s no glory in repeating that story or dying for the same fool’s errand now. The best thing you can do now is teach others not to make the same mistake.
