As a public health doctor I’m uncomfortable with the idea of letting covid spread freely in kids, especially clinically vulnerable ones. It’s still a new disease that we’re learning about. I’m sure others may think differently so this is just my personal view.
As a pediatrician I'm going on record saying that allowing kids to be freely infected with a novel disease that has unknown long term consequences is the worst idea of 2021 despite being a pretty crowded field so far

I am fed up with Covid. I am not advocating a return to strict social distancing. But if every kid is isolating and most of the staff in a hospital are having to stay home to look after them; is there a plan? Seems to me these rates will double and double again this month.
