Democrats incorporated whistleblower protections for people who report crypto fraud, the same protections that expose wrongdoing across every other regulated industry. The Clarity Act provides them, but Democrats decided whistleblowers weren’t protecting with their no vote.

Democrats wanted crypto filers held personally liable for submitting false information to regulators— something the Clarity Act does. Any guesses how Democrats voted? That's right; they voted no.

China’s Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) functions as a social credit tool—giving the government unprecedented insight into personal lives and the power to restrict freedoms. That is the complete opposite of the principles and liberties enshrined in the United States Constitution. BAN CBDC in America—forever.

Under the Biden administration, government bureaucrats pressured and threatened banks to stop doing business with certain industries like fossil fuels, firearms, digital assets, and religious organizations. My @FinancialCmte Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations exposed this effort, and yesterday’s @USOCC report confirmed many of our findings. This goes way beyond the scope of the federal government’s authority, and it’s exactly what Democrats will do if they regain power in Washington. Democrats wanted a full regulatory regime for digital commodity pool operators and trading advisors. The Clarity Act builds it. Democrats voted "no" on protecting investors pooled in crypto funds with real oversight.

No American should lose access to a bank account because of their politics or their industry, and that includes the digital asset businesses wrongfully targeted under Operation Chokepoint 2.0. Today's @USOCC report exposes how far Biden-era debanking went to pressure banks to cut off Americans for their politics, faith, and lawful businesses. My Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee has exposed this overreach since our first hearing on Operation Choke Point 2.0 and in our report on Biden's debanking of digital assets. @FinancialCmte is working to end debanking for good. My SAFE Guidance Act stops regulators from using unofficial guidance to pressure banks, and @RepAndyBarr’s FIRM Act permanently ends the "reputation risk" standard Biden regulators used to discourage institutions from banking lawful industries like firearms and crypto. Democrats wanted a dedicated CFTC office to advocate for retail crypto investors. The Clarity Act does that with the creation of the Office of the Retail Commodity Advocate. Democrats voted no on protecting retail investors with a dedicated CFTC advocate.

Democrats demanded that Chief Compliance Officers be barred from holding conflicting roles at affiliated crypto entities. We wrote it into the Clarity Act. Democrats said, “no thanks.”

Our veterans deserve the best. Yet the VA still runs on decades-old legacy systems, many dating back to the 1990s. Veterans pay for it with slow claims, scheduling delays, and exposed personal data. We reintroduced the Veterans Affairs Distributed Ledger Innovation Act to bring the VA into the 21st century. It requires a full report on how blockchain could make benefits claims more accurate, more accountable, and harder to defraud. It's already cleared the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs. Our veterans earned a system worthy of their service.

Pro consumer and pro good aspects of crypto. Not the bad.

If you invest in cryptocurrency, your money is more at risk when drug dealers, human traffickers & terrorists use it as well. But @BryanSteil is in charge of regulating it in Congress. Instead of watching out for you, he is for the industry, risking your investment. Swampy.

When crypto tries to buy elections, they piss off those who won’t be bought off. Bad idea by the industry. @BryanSteil may be ok with being bought off. But that’s a losing strategy.
