Just updated the "SamCon" code repo that was open-sourced last year. Now, it supports multiprocess parallel, a new humanoid similar to SMPL that means we can use large-scale dataset like AMASS to generate reference motion. What's important is code has become cleaner😅

this is really satisfying if you land it, using the banking to jump over the inside barrier, you can see the front right wheel glance off the barrier at the end

I've been poking at this code sketch for the past few days for my daily code warm up. It's not part of the game, but I kinda wish it is.

Another Blender #geometrynodes to Niagara test.
This time tried recreating @lateasusual_'s volume node effect.

I've been busy with some exploration of full physics character controllers. You can interact with the character at any position on its body and it will react accordingly. I put it in a dumb karma-delivery game. So... below is how I feel about Mondays.

It’s a basic ML fact that there’s an infinity of laws compatible with the same observations. Which ones we believe is more a function of psychology than physics.

Got Matthias Müller-Fischer's softbody physics paper implemented in Unity. youtube.com/watch?v=uCaHXkS2…
This technique is so much simpler than the one that required polar decomposition which made my brain hurt a lot.

2050 technology horizon for humanity:
1) Cloned woolly mammoth
2) Quantum computing at scale
3) Martian base
4) Net-positive fusion energy
5) Right-click menu that always goes away when it's supposed to
#5 is admittedly a bit of a long-shot.

Saw the amazing climbing stuff from @DigitalOpus and decided to give it a try. Mine isn't nearly as good, but it still kinda works for now^^ #madewithunity #indiedev #gamedev

Sketch vs Final
Most of my art starts from a rough sketch of an idea. I've learned not to over-analyze this early in the process and just let the work reveal itself as I move polygons in 3D.

I know a lot of you liked the dynamic pathfinding I tinkered with a couple of years ago. Well, I'm back working on it for part 2. Prepare for robots! Sorry about the programmer art...
