DigiTax, a Kenyan tax-tech company, has entered the UAE market after being pre-approved by the Ministry of Finance to provide electronic invoicing services, operating through Namiri Technology Services LLC with a new Dubai office.
The UAE will require businesses with annual revenue of 50 million Dirhams ($13.6 million) or more to comply with new e-invoicing requirements from January 1, 2027, with other businesses following from July 1, 2027.
DigiTax, founded in 2022, has processed more than $20 billion in invoices and plans to expand into 10 additional international markets in 2026.

Kenyan founded electronic invoicing firm, @DigiTax_Tech, has launched in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following receipt of pre-approval by the UAE Ministry of Finance as an e-invoicing Service Provider.
The pre-approval, granted under the UAE Ministry of Finance and in line with the Federal Tax Authority framework, comes as businesses move to comply with new requirements that will standardise digital invoicing and reporting.
@DigiTax_Tech has processed >US$20.0 billion worth of invoices since 2022.
In May, I highlighted another Kenyan, @ElvisSedah, was driving the eInvoicing adoption wave across Africa (see quoted tweet).
A Kenyan is leading the charge in the roll out of electronic tax invoices across Africa.
From Kigali (Rwanda) to Maseru (Lesotho) & Windhoek (Namibia), Quantum Solutions Co-founder, @ElvisSedah , is helping governments integrate business systems with those ot Revenue Authorities for e-invoicing.
