Must have been extremely raavanous kids.
Few days ago, a group of kids took donation from us to build Ravan and just now we got to know that they ate pizza and burger from it😭😭😭 Whole neighbourhood is angry😭😭

The convo that nobody is ready for is that AI has made every "technical" moat dead , especially if you are building a wrapper over Open Source Software, so now you are basically like every luxury perfume brand competing on marketing and aesthetics.
Is there a real moat for all of these sandbox companies? Feels like everyone is pivoting and the product is always the same??? - Fast boot time - High clock speed - Scale up and to zero But like beyond lightweight microVMs it feels like the technical depth is fairly shallow? Like everyone is running on the same CPUs, and you can't really optimize the actual workloads because its just random agent-generated code at runtime. Aside from race-to-the-bottom on pricing, how do you compete?

Macron: its done bro.
The French students are incredibly powerful and their messaging is loud and justified. They want good schools. The French government should listen and refrain from any brutality. It's time to set a precedent on how to deal with peaceful protests with compassion. (/s)

Folks, if you channel your desperation and shame at your country/continent/community not achieving X,Y or Z and instead use it to make yourself 0.1% better everyday or to help the people in need around you, trust me there will be a lot more joy and peace in your life.

Former boss had a company that sold software to TCS and was licensed per machine. TCS simply copy-pasted the binaries + config and refused to pay. Fortunately he had anticipated this and shipped an encrypted license checking payload that verified license on bootup
My dad had a startup in India that created mutual fund software. They sold it to Punjab National Bank, which stiffed them on the payment, claiming that they didn’t use the tool provided. Unbeknownst to them, there was a backdoor to stop the tool from working after a duration of time. The bank called to complain. That’s how they recovered their dues.

I have cracked why all of a sudden all the "expert" engineers are against hand-coding ; its basically them undergoing catharsis at the loss of their identity and trauma dumping their loss of identity onto the rest of us plebs. That or their current work is selling tokens+harness

Understandable bro, you spend the last 10/20/30 years making being a hardcore software engineer your identity and now you are greaving, but atleast work with a therapist or keep it to yourself. Don't trauma dump it on us bro.

3d printers for Robot parts ? Also Chinese. Wheels, tracks, sheet metal, CNC-ed parts ? You guessed it.
Went to a robot conference and pretty much everything is Chinese (servos, actuators, Lidar, sensor, batteries). Sure model driving them might be American/European but with that being commoditized left and right, don't see how you can compete on margins against the Chinese.

Nice to see startups modularizing every item in their stack: buying cheap chinese hardware from aliexpress but w/o a competitive local supply chain pretty sure your customer is going to buy a cheap clone of your product directlyon Aliexpress and put you out of business as well.

Nine months ago, this did not exist. Today, India can build its own Fast Steering Mirror. QOSMIC’s FSM has cleared thermal vacuum and vibration qualification, both on the first attempt. The FSM is the fine-pointing core of every optical link: satellite to ground, satellite to satellite, ground to ground. It holds a laser locked on target while everything around it moves, making hundreds of tiny corrections every second. To put that precision in perspective: lay a grid over Rashtrapati Bhavan. From 500 km above your head, our FSM is designed to point a laser link at any single point on it. Only two or three suppliers worldwide build this class of hardware. So we built ours. From nothing to space-qualified in under a year. Built to survive launch. Now it waits for one 👀 #ICSO2026 #ICSO #NewSpaceIndia #OpticalCommunications #LaserCommunication @Jain_Shrey_ @RohitKR79 @aalokelab @shashank_huh @js_2606 @Accel @AccelAtoms @AccelIndia @spc_india @spc @artparkindia

Anyone thinking that post 2020 Delhi riots any protest is "organic" should have their frontal lobes confisticated.
Replying to @pHequals7
I think this was a reasonable use by a state of its powers without escalting too much to prevent an obvious attempt at a color revolution

Here is the thing: Most protests are violent. Either you support them or you don't. Peaceful protest is a myth, especially if it reaches a big scale. It always has been.

This is a massive L, not a W my guy.
A Bangalore tech founder finally experienced how Gujarati dhandho actually works. I met a startup founder yesterday, exhausted, complaining that the manufacturing ecosystem is completely broken. His vendors were delaying shipments, crushing his margins and refusing to extend credit. If you want to build a physical business, leave your tech mindset at home as it doesn't work in Indian manufacturing. He thought the market was toxic. The truth? The market just didn't know him. Indian manufacturing runs on generational trust. It doesn't run on automated onboarding or email threads. I made one call and connected him to a vetted supplier in my network. He instantly got priority production and fair credit terms. Problem solved in 10 minutes. You can have the best customer acquisition cost and the cleanest UI but the physical world is built on offline leverage. As a startup founder, start meeting new people and start doing founder branding simultaneously. If your network can't fix a broken supply chain with a single phone call, your startup is already dead.
