1. In 2006,the Sonia Gandhi-led UPA decided to strengthen the humanities depts in #IITs in order to introduce the Ambedkarite-Periyarite trojan within the IIT System. This trojan has been steroidally strengthened, not weakened,by the panoramic hyper Ambedkarism of NDA since 2014.

did my B.Tech at IIT Bombay and my PhD at IIT Delhi. I've been a professor for 14 years now. In 22 years of watching the IIT/IIIT system closely, I have never once witnessed a teacher discriminate against a student on the basis of caste.
During my B.Tech, most of us had no idea what caste our batchmates belonged to. Many of my close friends were SC/ST. We never discussed it. It never entered any conversation or decision. Not once. Our exposure to the humanities department was limited, though — the term "Brahmanical patriarchy" didn't even exist back then.
As a teacher, I don't ask a student's name before solving their doubt. Often I don't know their name at all — some of my classes have 300+ students. We treat them all the same. So does every colleague I know. So did every professor who taught me.
Social media has now filled vulnerable students' heads with a lot of manufactured grievance about caste discrimination that, in my experience, doesn't exist.

My hot take is that Elon is not nearly rich enough and the world would be a better place if he had 10X more capital to put at work.

India mein koi 5 minutes number Google kar le to doodh ka doodh paani ka paani ho jaye.
RBI surplus to Govt : ₹2.87 Lakh Crores (US$30 Bn)
Total listed bank profits : ₹4.11 Lakh Crores (US$42 Bn)
NPCI - which runs UPI pre tax ‘surplus’ : ₹ 1,888 crores (US$200 Mn)
To nuksaan kis ka ho raha hai UPI se aur kaunsi subsidy de rahi hai Govt UPI pe jo chubh rahi hai?
Cost of running ATMs and cash logistics in India is ₹30,500 crores (US$ 3.0 Bn). If you want to optimise shut ATMs and promote UPI instead.
Any levy on UPI is just tax collection. UPI is the one scientific achievement of India everyone acknowledges par ab tax ki bali chadhegi.
UPI Charges Row | Ashneer Grover Exclusive
If I transfer ₹1 lakh to my friend through UPI, or I pay ₹3,000 using a QR code, what is the cost of running the system? The cost is the same. So, if I transfer ₹1 lakh to my friend, nobody is making money from it. But if I make a payment of ₹2,500 to a small shopkeeper then the government wants to put charges, what’s the logic? — @Ashneer_Grover speaks to @shreyadhoundial

India’s deep-tech moment is moving from “Can we build it?” to “Can we build it here - and at global scale?”
With larger cheques flowing into deeptech and frontier technology, investors are increasingly looking for real IP, technical depth and defensible innovation — not just a compelling pitch. Manu Iyer, Co-Founder & General Partner, Bluehill.VC, will share what makes India’s next generation of deep-tech companies investable.

Your CCTV camera was designed in China. So was the flight controller inside most Indian drones.
@DeepTechManu of @BluehillVC just closed a ₹400 crore fund to back the engineers changing that across chips, rockets, and defence.

Homeless, yachtless Elon Musk, who actually builds rockets, EVs, and neural tech trying to benefit humanity, should apparently cough up $50 billion in taxes on unrealized gains.
Meanwhile, Laurene Powell Jobs ($15B inherited), Nancy Walton ($20B inherited), and MacKenzie Scott ($40B divorce) never built shit, never risked shit, and never shipped a single product that changed the world.
But they get the praise and zero scrutiny. Because they have the right politics.
(BTW ~25% of Walmart employees are on government benefits.)

“Historic semiconductor fab” - except it’s not a fab. It’s a packaging plant.
Micron’s Sanand ATMP receives finished wafers from their US/Japan/Taiwan factories. India cuts, tests & boxes them. Zero wafers fabricated here. Zero circuits designed here.
The real numbers nobody’s saying:
→ Total cost: ₹22,516 Cr
→ Micron paid: ₹6,800 Cr (30%)
→ Indian taxpayers paid: ₹15,700+ Cr (70%)
→ Jobs created so far: 2,000
We gave a US company ₹15,700 Cr of public money to do the lowest-value job in semiconductor manufacturing; the same thing Malaysia & Vietnam have been doing since the 1980s.
India’s ACTUAL first semiconductor fab is Tata Dholera.
First chip: Dec 2026. At 28nm.
TSMC is shipping 2nm. Today.
This is a start. Not a revolution.
Stop letting photo ops rewrite the dictionary.
🚨 Historic milestone in India. 🇮🇳
While the world is on turbulence,
India has opened it's 1st semiconductor fab manufacturing plant in Gujarat.
Micron presented its first shipment of made-in-India memory modules to Dell for its laptops made in India for India. 💥
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Micron’s Sanand plant is an ATMP facility and not a “Fab” as mentioned by the OP

We just made history and broke 4 records!
The coolest part about this was we never set out to break records in the first place! Baala just wanted to take our motorcycles out for a spin for the holidays.
All this on a production motorcycle with no extra planning or additional support just says so much about how far the EV ecosystem has grown in India!
Want to know more about our motorcycles? Come take a test ride today!
@IyerOnTheRun @bigvig21
Raptee.HV just carved its name into history, officially recognized by the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records for :
1. Longest Distance Covered by a Production Electric Motorcycle
2. Highest Average Distance Achieved by a Production Electric Motorcycle

I genuinely don’t understand how anyone hates Elon
Like the man is running 4 Giga-unicorns and speed running the kardashev scale
but in his free time, he’s dunking on pedo billionaires on x and balancing forks at formal whitehouse dinners

Elon Musk has given over 300 interviews since 1999, per comprehensive archives—far surpassing peers.
Jeff Bezos, notoriously reclusive, has done fewer than 50 major ones.
Mark Zuckerberg: ~40 notable appearances.
Bill Gates: ~100, mostly post-Microsoft.
Elon’s prolific openness fosters transparency, inspiring global innovation in space & EVs, unlike the guarded styles of others.
He’s the people’s visionary!
