Many girls miss out on good men because they’re trying to be the best feminists they can be. I’m a feminist as well. Just not a radical one. I stop where God intended it to stop for us. We don’t have to be like men. We can never be like men ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

In 2024, I participated in the @TheGuluMarathon as a runner/walker. A couple of friends, acquaintances and I had planned to walk or run just 5km. Somehow, we ended up doing 10km, and quite frankly, we could have gone another 10km because the conversations we had along the route became far more interesting than we had anticipated. 😂
In 2025, I returned, this time as both a participant and a collaborator. Through a partnership between our organisation, @HashtagGulu, @KasUganda, @qataharraymond and the @IMChallengeug, we organised and curated a space for a conversation reflecting on 20 years since the cessation of the LRA insurgency in northern Uganda.
It was a timely and important conversation, especially considering how much Gulu has grown and transformed from the difficult years of the war to the city we know today. And, just like the previous year, the marathon gave us another opportunity to reconnect with friends, acquaintances, former schoolmates, childhood friends and many others.
This year, I have decided to take my involvement a step further.
I see the #GuluCityMarathon as more than just an annual sporting event. I see the opportunities it presents for a growing city like Gulu, the cause it stands for, the impact it is creating in our communities, and the vision behind it.
For these reasons, I will not only participate but also collaborate more actively with the organisers through @fourthhub_ug, as part of our commitment to supporting meaningful community initiatives and causes that create lasting impact.
To @FGimara and the entire Gulu City Marathon team, thank you for starting something that has the potential to outlive all of us. My colleagues at @fourthhub_ug and I are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this story and help shape what it could become.
To my fellow Gulu City residents, this is our opportunity!
We have an opportunity to position our city, showcase what we have to offer, and contribute to changing the narrative about Acholi and northern Uganda.
Whether you choose to do business and make some money, welcome the thousands of visitors expected in Gulu in early December, volunteer, cheer on the runners and walkers along the different routes, or simply extend our famous Acholi hospitality, there is something for everyone.
And to everyone coming from outside Gulu, we are ready to welcome you!
If I were you, I would register now to secure my slot and running kit, and start making transport and accommodation arrangements early enough. After all, in Acholi, we say starting early is the medicine for rain. 😁
See you all on 5th December 2026!
But first, register to participate. Then tell a friend, and even better, help them register too. If you can, consider sponsoring someone else to run or walk. You never know what that opportunity might mean to them.
Let’s make this year’s @TheGuluMarathon one to remember!

You produce children and traumatize them yourself. When they turn out to be drunkards, drug addicts, sex addicts etc.
you blame their generation and forget to blame yourself for how they turned out
Women need to start worrying more about their partner’s close male friends than the girls their partners talk to.
So many men out here are gay. So many
There’s a way Kirya sounds romantic on phone.
Just that nti ela tabera nyo na plan ezilimu amakulu 🌚
Most of my male friends never allow my X fans to say hi to me when we’re out 😂
They be like no this is not Dee. We don’t know who you’re talking about 🥹😪
I need new friends 🥹
I went for one meeting and didn’t go back 😪
Because there you’re required to talk to a group of people . Like stand up and do a presentation every meeting.
Me I’m shy I run away 😭
But.. reach out to @Murungidorothy1 for any inquiries
But how do these bar waitresses know or presume we’re poor? 😂
You enter a bar, sit at a random seat and a waitress comes to bounce you mbu these seats are for people buying bottles 😏
Meanwhile I found the bar empty. Literally 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🙌🏻
But what happened to the ‘feminists’ of these streets?
I know some eventually ‘semi settled’ with married men but 🙌🏻
