Honestly, I love this idea.
Footpaths can look good, let rainwater reach the soil, and help keep trees healthy.
More cities need ideas like this. 🌱

This is Bengaluru’s Silk Board after last night’s heavy rain. The entire stretch turned into what looked more like a swimming pool than one of the city’s busiest junctions. Even the newly constructed metro station area was completely waterlogged, raising serious concerns about Bengaluru’s infrastructure and drainage planning.
Vehicles were struggling to move through the flooded roads while commuters were left stranded in traffic chaos. Despite massive development projects and ongoing metro construction, the city continues to face the same flooding issues every monsoon. Roads disappearing under water has now become a regular scene in Bengaluru whenever heavy rain hits the city. It is shocking to see such severe waterlogging around a newly built metro corridor that was supposed to improve urban mobility and infrastructure. Citizens are once again questioning how crores are being spent on development while basic drainage problems remain unsolved. Silk Board, already infamous for traffic congestion, now turns into a swimming pool every time it rains heavily.

Maybe we the people aren't right. We chose roads to dump the waste and expect the city to grow and look clean. We are the ones who have to change to bring the change 😕

Shimla Police Personnel kicked a driver for recording a video. The officer has just been suspended and will soon be back on the job.
If a citizen had kicked a police officer, there would have been immediate arrests and FIRs filed. Why this double standard?

Bengaluru has degraded over last few years. Some areas like tilak nagar, ilias nagar, yelechenahalli, HBR layout etc do not have any rule of law. You cannot find any police there. People ride triple and from any direction. You are lucky if they don't touch your vehicle

Companies should allow WFH in cities like Bangalore and Mumbai. If physical presence isn't needed, there's no point wasting time, energy, and money battling traffic and poor infrastructure. Half your energy is wasted just reaching office.
