For relentlessly covering the Pothole menace by journalists, I was chosen to be rewarded by the very pothole 😳 Thank you @CMofKarnataka @thekjgeorge @BBMP_MAYOR for my injure shoulder and broken camera as reward. I will consider this a badge of honor.😁

Can you spot him? Sometimes, an image is much more than just a frame. Approaching home on a rainy night, I spotted him seated amidst the wild bushes, barely knowing what might be slithering around his feet in the dark. He is the #LightBoy—holding up the glow so others can step into the #Limelight, while he remains swallowed by shadow. Just behind that wall, a regular television serial shoot was underway. Clicking this frame opened a floodgate of memories for someone like me who has spent a lifetime behind the scene, where the very least one expects is credit. Back in the early ’90s, when I was shooting weddings and events, I would paste a small business card on the back inside cover of the final album. It wasn’t just self-promotion; it was proof of craft, a way for guests to know whose eyes framed those memories. I have literally watched clients tear that card off right in front of my face. We were always the last in line for settlements, bargained down to the bone. To them, paying for the album meant owning the rights to erase the person who made it. Later, moving into daily #NewsPhotography, our bylines routinely went missing. When questioned, the copy desk would shrug with a careless, “So what?” Over the decades, you hear it enough times that you stop arguing. You just swallow it and move on to the next assignment. Fast forward to today. Everyone wants to look larger than life through the pictures we make, eager to project success and glamour to the world. Yet that simple, fundamental courtesy—acknowledging the creator—remains the hardest thing to give. At the end of every story, I suppose there is always a cribbing light boy like me. Sitting in the dark, watching the show run. – at Bengaluru South, India

The last 15 days have been one of the best fortnights of movie-watching in recent memory. Six films—not a detailed breakdown, just brief personal impressions: #Jailer2: I’ve always watched Rajini movies twice. The first time on opening day just to soak in the deafening energy and theater vibe; the second time a few days later to properly absorb the story and judge the film. But with Jailer 2, I went back specifically for Moorthy Anna (Namo Narayana). It’s rare to see an ensemble cast given this much breathing room and weight in a Thalaivar film. #Dorothy: No film has left an impression on me recently quite like this one. An absolute masterclass across the board—performances, casting, writing, cinematography, and sound design. Kudos to Keerthy Suresh for choosing this character, especially when everyone seems locked in a race for "lady superstar" labels. And Karthik Subbaraj—what a return to form. #Battha: It’s been a long time since a film brought tears to my eyes completely unawares. Vijay Sethupathi and young Sai Prithviraj deliver performances that hold up a mirror to our own egos and vulnerabilities. Exceptional work from Balaji Tharaneetharan. #Obsession: Easily the most effective jump scares I’ve experienced in a horror film in ages—and that was just watching at home on the TV. The two misses: #Aasha (Urvashi & Joju George): Skip it. That’s all. #GajabRaat: Watched solely for Manoj Bajpayee. Complete waste of time. – at Bengaluru South, India
