I wonder if Penny Mordant has realised the pinnacle of her political career was carrying a sword while dressed as a Greek flight attendent?
@Meta is trying to be honest and transparent about what they intend to do and individuals can always complain to the regulator if they think their rights are being disregarded. But organisations also have rights, (And yes, it’s a matter of balance, blah blah blah)

Chuck it out. The guidance was helpful when people knew it existed, but the ICO did in the past have an unfortunate habit of tweaking some text without telling anyone.

It’s great to be able to live at a pace of one’s own choosing. And being able to focus what really interests you, rather than what other people expect of you.

As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.
Two gongs for @ICOnews in this years honours list - a first for the organisation. Well done to Paul and Nicky.
Given the way your husband was so shabbily treated by the British spooks, I hope you have more success in obtaining an appropriate security clearance from the Australian intelligence agencies.
The lack of time offered to stakeholders and parliamentarians to consider the proposals indicate an astonishing level of contempt for the traditional consultative process.

👑The #KingsSpeech revealed plans to add yet more spying powers to the Snoopers' Charter.
"The Government says it will give them the power to veto private tech companies' privacy and security features. Such powers would be more extreme than even the world's most despotic regimes.
This would be yet another Bill that would exert extraordinary control to treat private companies as extensions of the state in order to conduct mass surveillance of millions of law-abiding citizens. It would be a major blow to the population's security."

@Ofcom will encounter enormous problems ensuring a reasonable level of compliance as most impacted orgs are unlikely to read an Act that is 288 pages long. Nor will most orgs want / be able to buy legal advice from the few lawyers who have read it & know what it actually means.
