So many headlines about how Google is fighting back against spam content. What I see is Google removing high DA publishers lead gen strategies, and pulling that marketshare back. They don't do major updates for charity.
Breaking News 🔥 @googlemaps is no longer showing view count (impressions) on new reviews. The historical data is there (for now) but moving forward it appears they won’t disclose the number of times reviews have been seen. Prepping for the new fake review laws?

Ongoing LSA fake review shit show.
Fake review attack moved from GMB to LSA. Now 10 fake LSA reviews, all have had report filed individually
Response came back denying takedown with NO INDICATION of which of the 10 were denied and NO APPEAL opportunity.

It’s much easier to detect GTP3/4 content on websites because there’s usually hundreds of words. With online reviews, they are short and harder to predict a-la-carte - But if you lump the suspicious ones together you can have enough content to make fairly accurate predictions. 🥳
