The most consistent service @CityPowerJhb Roodepoort seems able to deliver is blocking the voices that challenge their incompetence and inhumane treatment of the people of Weltevreden Park. @CyrilRamaphosa @PMashatile @Kgosientsho_R @GCISGauteng @CityofJoburgZA @DadaMorero it’s misleading to declare that the 2025 Budget is focused on economic growth and supporting livelihoods when, for residents of Weltevreden Park, Ward 126, everything is falling apart before their eyes, and people are at risk of losing their loved ones.

The true test of democracy is not just holding elections. it's also accepting the result and the peaceful transfer of political power. With accepting this outcome, the ANC accepts it could be out of govt. This is an important display of maturity and respect for the constitution.

Nokubonga Nomsindisi Tobela-Mjoli, 89, was allegedly raped and strangled to death in Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal, on 29 March 2024. It is alleged that the suspect burnt Nokubonga’s body after allegedly raping and killing her inside her house. The suspect was arrested. ##sayhername

Abona, 27, and her one-year-old daughter Lihlume Magaba were shot and killed at their home, Samora Machel, Cape Town, by her ex-boyfriend on 10 April. It is alleged that the suspect, who was also a police officer stationed at Faure, used his service pistol to murder.

Khanyile Ntetho was shot to death allegedly by her netball coach in East London on 13 April. It is alleged that Khanyile celebrated with her friend and coach after her netball team won a game. The next day, the family was worried as she didn't come home, and her phone was off.

Bobbi Gibb, right after she became the first woman to complete the Boston Marathon in 1966.
Earlier that year, Gibb had received a letter rejecting her from the marathon, stating that women were "not physiologically able to run a marathon." The Amateur Athletics Union limited women to races no longer than 1.5 miles (2.4 km), and the Boston Marathon organizers refused to accept the liability of a female competitor.
Undeterred by this rejection, Gibb decided to participate anyway. On race day, she wore a blue hooded sweatshirt over a black swimsuit and her brother's Bermuda shorts, concealing herself near the start line. After the race began, she waited for about half the runners to pass before joining in, seamlessly blending in.
Soon, the male runners realized Gibb was a woman. Contrary to expectations, they supported and encouraged her. Gibb removed her sweatshirt and completed the race in 3 hours, 21 minutes, and 40 seconds, outpacing two-thirds of the male runners.

At my house in Craighall, Johannesburg, I am experiencing 10 hours of loadshedding per day for 2 days now (yesterday and today). According to NRS048-9 this is consistent with Stage 8 loadshedding. I wonder what is really going on here with @Eskom_SA and @CityPowerJhb?
