For the new Truth Hurts, I spoke to Dâm-Funk about playing keyboards on Westside Connection's "Let It Rain," collaborating with Snoop on 7 Days of Funk, his vision for modern funk, the influence of Prince and Junie Morrison, the origins of the Funkmosphere parties, funk's re-emergence in contemporary pop, and why staying true to the music has always mattered more to him than chasing fame.
One of my favorite episodes we've done.

Honestly, I’m the one who should be thanking you. Sometimes it hits me that I’ll never get to see Roger Troutman or Rick James, and that I just barely missed Prince. But I feel incredibly lucky to be living in a time when you’re bringing the Funk into the world. Thank you. 🙏🙌🖖
