Phenomenal run down of one of the racks UGC is on.
I think we’re starting to see something happen in UGC that creators need to pay attention to.
It’s called sorting.
I’ve written before about how I believe we’re entering the post gold rush era of UGC. And when a fast growing market starts to mature, you often begin to see what’s called an industry shakeout.
Not everyone who entered during the growth period continues to thrive.
Opportunities start concentrating.
Expectations get higher.
And you begin to see separation between the people who are consistently delivering what the market wants and those who aren’t.
That’s the sorting I’m talking about.
And I’m seeing signs of it on Trybe.
Some brand programs are becoming invitation only.
Some programs have already reached the number of creators they want to work with.
Some creators are getting repeat opportunities while others are struggling to get into programs at all.
And once you’re inside a program, performance matters.
If your content isn’t performing, the quality isn’t there, or you’re simply not producing what the brand needs, you may eventually find yourself on the side that gets sorted out.
This isn’t unique to UGC. Markets change. Expectations rise. The people who were able to participate during a period of rapid growth aren’t necessarily the same people who will thrive once the market matures.
So what can you control?
Your content.
Right now, I think the biggest lever creators have is getting exceptionally good at creating content that brands can actually use to sell.
Not just prettier content.
Not just more content.
Better content.
Content that gets attention, holds attention, communicates the offer, and gets someone to take action.
Because if sorting is happening, the question isn’t just whether you can get into the room.
It’s whether your work gives brands a reason to keep you there.

Here's one thing I've learned about UGC: Brands don't just need another pretty video. They need someone who gets the product and gets the audience and bridges the two. This is what I am practicing this week.
Every day I don't quit and every day others do. It will take some time, but I'll get there.
you don't understand how astronomically low the bar is right now
most people have the attention span of a goldfish, glued to their phones, addicted to short-term pleasures
if you're building something that's yours, growing an audience, creating consistently, learning sales, and actually putting yourself out there
it might not seem like much right now
but give it 1-3 years
you'll be operating in a completely different league
Today's the day I:
-Start before I'm ready
-Bite off more than I can chew
-Take the gloves off
-Leap before I look
I've spent the last 30 day revving my engine and not going anywhere. I don't need to spend more time getting ready. The time to do is now.
When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates.
Yes. It is absolutely a numbers game!
Did a deep dive on Trybe over the weekend… i may be changing my mind about it..
I was in TikTok Shop in early 2024 and had massive success, and kinda getting those vibes now with Trybe.
The performance side is what attracts me the most. I had a video get $500k ad spend this summer and i sure would have liked some % of that!
The key with TTS was always brand/product selection. The real money wasn’t in the massive brands everyone did, but the undiscovered ones that were starting to taking off.
Same applies to Trybe. If you can find a brand that doesn’t have a ton of creators but is running Meta ads and has product(s) that are scaling, and go all in with them if you hit a winning creative style, that’s the key.
I see too many creators sending in videos on Trybe for these popular brands and wondering why they dont get approved or make $. Its because the brands get 300 ads/day submitted! Gotta find the less competitive ones.
And also understand how ecom ad testing and scaling works. You won’t get paid instantly as it takes time for ads to go through the testing phase and start scaling. I have owned several ecom sites and run meta ads so i know this.. give it time.
And lastly, its a volume game. You gotta pump out videos and not get paid initially for them (unless you negotiate retainers which is possible). But you also dont need super fancy edited videos.
This was the part i liked the least but i used to do with TTS and I made thousands of videos so nothing i haven’t done / can’t do.
Anyway. I’m still researching and digging in but prob gonna dive in on brand/product research soon.
Anybody else start seeing the potential here?

Putting blinders on!!! While everyone is debating Trybe's performance deals I am just grinding minding my own.
It feels like the UGC community is in a civil war right now between Trybe's performance deals and traditional deals 😂
And it literally all comes down to your experience on the Trybe app, that's all it is, whether you've made a high performer or not
You gotta just accept the fact that there are going to be different types of creators out there now in terms of what deals they take on from here on out
And it's actually an awesome thing that creators can make choices like that now and aren't just tied down to canvas/traditional deals

The hardest part of UGC isn’t making the product look good. It’s making someone believe the person holding the product would actually use it.
EEEEEEKKKK! I just hit publish on my portfolio! This is huge for me!
Feedback please: if there is anything off-putting (sound quality, lighting, camera angles, tone, etc)
Also let me know if you want to work with me. 😉

The ugc I like to create the most is the kind that has the unexpected.
I also love it when I get to flex my scripting and location shots.
🙏🏼 tell me what you think!!
I was looking for a sign I am on the right track: @MikeTheElite says I am.
I'm 20.
I'm a solo creator selling what I know & I'm making a comfortable 4 figures a month.
I get to study.
I get to buy gifts for my loved ones.
I get to live the life of freedom.
(not the full freedom I want yet, I'm sure there's more)
All I'm saying is it's completely possible.
I've been saying this since 2023.
We're living in a golden age of opportunity.
& since AI showed up? There's even more of it.
You either take it or you don't, it's up to you.
But I'm begging you..
Start posting on X.
UGC is either a goldmine or quicksand for ADHD.
Goldmine: New products, new angles, short projects. In short CONSTANT NOVELTY.
Quicksand: Researching, editing, filming.
The hardest part isn't coming up with ideas, its deciding what not to do.
👇Goldmine or Quicksand?

If you're a UGC creator pitching an agency or brand, keep that message as SIMPLE as possible
They're already overwhelmed and don't want to read a ton of words. When it's a long email they'll look past it right away, I guarantee it
Only pitch facts, results, and examples. Don't say you create engaging content or anything like that, everyone claims it
Hit them with a punch in the gut for a header and opening line and let that do all the talking
Also saves you time trying to perfect a long thought out email too
Asking "why?!" approximately 700 times. Exactly.
If you think creative strategy is sitting around thinking of cute ad ideas all day, I have terrible news 😭
Half the job is:
Research.
Performance analysis.
Testing.
Documentation.
Competitor analysis.
Briefing.
Iteration.
And asking “why?” approximately 700 times.
The creative ideas are the output.
The thinking behind them is the actual job.
