8:01 am. Wake up and curse out your openclaw AI agent you have worked with for 6 months that is responsible for running a core workflow that keeps having issues. Threaten to replace them with Grokbot and/or desktop versions of Codex/Claude. Wait for apology, an answer on the issue, approve proposed fixes, see everything work today. Tomorrow: repeat. For my UGC creators (new and experienced)… There’s no ONE way for you to make money with UGC. There are so many paths for you to find what works for you. I see a lot of people loving @TrybeUGC and people saying its not for them. Ok great - you do you. Some people love Canvas ugc and make great money making tons of videos per month, others wouldn’t consider it. Ok great - you do you. Some people love Fiverr and get lots of gigs there, others don’t. Great - you do you. Agencies, apps, inbound from personal brand, outbound pitching, high $ with a few brands, lower $ with a lot of brands, whatever. You know what i’m gonna say.. Great - you do YOU. There are so many ways to succeed in this industry. Find what works for you. Personally i do a lot of different ways: pitching, (starting) a personal brand for inbounds, some select UGC apps, agency work, now Trybe.. this way i have all my bases covered that work for ME, and i am not reliant on any one way. So if you don’t like some UGC method, that’s your choice. The great thing is there are so many ways to go about it, and there is massive need and demand for creators. So go find yours…. What ways do YOU make money with UGC these days? #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

Sheesh if i see another ad on my feed with creators using this: “i’m returning this product.. not because of (feature, feature, feature).. but because it’s now on sale” hook / style i’m gonna throw my phone…. Bit overused people. Try being more creative. Just sayin’ #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator #trybe

Trybe is getting flooded with newbie creators that are submitting poor quality content and really have no clue how ugc or paid ads even work. Shoutout to @MariyahGenX_UGC for a recent post she made and i have to back this up. “Gurus” are making posts talking about how you don’t need followers, don’t need experience, and can magically make money overnight on Trybe. Its starting to cause a flood of poor submissions of low quality content. The misconception that Trybe is just “tiktok shop for meta” is getting all these creators cross posting their low quality tiktok shop videos to brands. Which is going to cause major problems with brands who just accept any creator into their program and run those videos as ads. Combine that with the mentality of “just copy the winning format or what is on daily virals” and there’s getting to be a flood of repetitive low quality content which is not going to help any brand’s ad accounts at all. I’m seeing tons of the same hooks and entire scripts on some brands Trybe that are literally the exact same thing repeated 20 times but a different person. Unfortunately this get rich quick mentality is causing this. Questions i see in some Trybe groups are shocking as well, literally no concept of how the platform works (“do i get an ad code and post on my socials”), how performance pay works (“what is GMV?”), how meta ads actually work (“why aren’t my ads making money its been two days since they were approved”) and much more. I think we are going to see a big shakeout with all this going on. Brands are going to (or should) limit their creator pool and enforcre stricter approval measures for admittance and submissions after getting innundated with low quality content. Personally i’m all for it, as it will allow the more experienced creators to rise to the top, and to be able to truly partner with brands to help them scale - but its going to take a bit for all this to shake out. The concept of @TrybeUGC is great and i support the performance model, but the way its being hyped up is causing some issues i feel. Guess we will see what happens…. #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator #trybe #performancemarketing

Starting over in your 50s isn’t failure; staying inside a dead model because your ego hates being a beginner is failure. I’ve made a million $, lost a million $, and learned that experience doesn’t prevent the restart. It makes you far more dangerous inside it. What are you willing to become a beginner at again? #ugc #ugccreator #ugccommunity #genxcreator #entrepreneurship

The two most common UGC outreach strategies are spamming brands with hundreds of generic DMs or emails or spending hours researching a few brands and sending a few emails each day. Both are broken. My AI agents find brands running ugc ads, analyzes their current creatives, finds the person running paid ads at the brand and their correct email, and drafts a personalized pitch with a content idea, introduction, and a niche relevant sample video and a link to my personal intro video. AI can do the research in minutes; my human judgment still decides the fit and sends the actual pitch. Ten targeted emails beat 200 generic DMs or emails every time. What’s your current outreach method: DMs, email, or something else? #ugc #ugccreator #ugccommunity #aitools #creatoroutreach

Brands if you are looking to get on the @TrybeUGC bandwagon… Be choosy with the creators you bring on. Take the time to build a group of creators that match your target market and ICP. Don’t just approve everyone and bring in a flood of submissions of videos that don’t fit your brand and that are largely all copying some viral format. Take the time to vet the creators applying so you build a team around your brand goals and ad creative needs. And invest in your creator program. Approve submissions on time, have creative briefs for desired angles, tone, messaging. Communicate with creators. And make sure you pay them well with whatever structure you put in place. If you build out a solid group of core creators and take care of them and make them money, they can scale you to the moon. If you need an experienced GenX creator that has owned brands and knows meta ads, drop me a line. I’m looking for a core group of brands that fit with me that i can help scale this Q4. Let’s do this! #trybe #performancemarketing #ugc #ugccreator #ugccommunity

Never take a moment of your life for granted. It can change in an instant. I’m checking out of the pre-icu unit right now after a real health scare last night where i almost had to have emergency brain surgery. Fell in my sleep 2 nights ago when going to the bathroom. Woke up to my gf holding ice on my head, no idea what happened. Apparently i fell down and she heard a noise and found me lying on the floor staring into space unresponsive. She slapped me into consciousness, i couldn’t remember what day it was or where i was. Eventually came to but was really out of it and head hurt. Stayed home next day or so, bad head pain where i hit the hardwood floor, knot on my head, headaches and dizzy feeling. Didnt think i needed to go to the hospital and that i just hit my head i’ll be ok. Banged out one ugc video i had due real quick, delayed the other 3… Decided to go to ER yesterday. They found an inner ear problem causing vertigo which made me fall, and did a CT scan on my head, where they found bleeding on my brain. (See image of white spot) Got admitted to pre-icu bed immediately and told i needed follow up CT scan in 6 hours and if blood on brain was growing, i would need to have emergency brain surgery. Needless to say last night i was anxious. And prayed a lot. My dad died from hitting his head on the ground when he was hit by a car 7 years ago and had blood on his brain they couldnt stop and i had to say goodbye to him and see him taken off life support. Hardest day of my life. My best friend died suddenly 2 years later from a brain aneurysm when he fell in the bathroom. I got lucky. I’m ok. It hasn’t grown. I just have to recover now and let the blood reabsorb. We all pursue this life of success, online dreams, entrepreneurship, ecom, being a top creator, whatever. Worry about videos getting views, conversions, whatever. It can change in an instant. Trust me i know that now. Be thankful for every moment you have. I almost had to have my brain operated on. Scary thought. I’m ok. Thankfully. #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator #ecom #healthscare

Another of my dia-@TrybeUGC posts… As a creator that wants to have success on Trybe you have to understand there’s a lot going on in the backend of the brands running your videos as ads. I hear creators talk about having good initial success quickly with a video then it drops off.. or it has great metrics but doesnt get pushed or make $$. Your video gets put in a testing campaign first. This testing campaign can be setup in many different ways. Your video may be sitting in an adset with 100+ other videos competing for spend and not get it. It may get some initial spend and do well then the algorithm switch out to a different video. It may have good performance with views and clicks, but fail to convert or have too high of a CPA and thus not meet the required threshold in the ad campaign. One brand may (and probably does) have a different setup than others. They may segment ads by angle, style, creator type, etc.. with fewer ads competing with each other, so your video get a better shot at success. If a video ad does well in testing, it gets moved to a scaling campaign. Same things apply. It can be competing against a lot of other winners. It may be do well in testing then when moved to scaling suddenly stop spending because the ad algorithm decides a different ad in the scaling campaign has better results. The meta ad algorithm does so many things that are unpredictable at times it drives you crazy. (Trust me, as a creator and brand owner who has run meta ads for years i’ve seen it all) This happens on ad accounts all the time with brands that know meta ads well.. Imagine what happens to your video with brands new to meta or with poorly structured or managed ad accounts. A great video can (and often) does nothing. This is why i have been saying you really need to partner with a brand that has had success with meta ads for a while, not just jumping into bed with them because Trybe is hot. Or because it worked on TikTok so it MUST do the same on Meta. Nope. It MAY, but only it setup right and structured right. Brands using Trybe correctly use it for a supply of fresh ugc ad creatives into a system thats already been proven to work. And find creators that fit their market, target customer / ICP, etc. As a creator you need to find these brands, so i disagree with the “apply to every brand on Trybe and see who accepts you.” And as a brand i disagree with “approve every creator applying and just get tons of videos and dump them in an ad campaign”. Both those approaches can waste time and money. Trybe isn’t some magic formula for success. There has to be alignment in so many areas, that both brands and creators should take time to find the right fit. Choose wisely, and big things can happen. Do the opposite, and well.. you get the idea. As a creator, i’m being intentional with who i choose to partner with on Trybe and doing the research, and making sure i fit with what the brand needs. And they fit with what i need. Brands wanting to do well on the platform should do the same. This way everyone has a chance for success. Dia-Trybe over. #ugc #performancemarketing #ugccommunity #trybe

Some more observations about Trybe.. I see a lot of creators frustrated as they made videos for a brand on Trybe and they sit there and don’t get run as ads. You have to realize that some of these brands on Trybe don’t know what they are doing with Meta ads. They are just piling in on the new shiny object trying not to miss out. I have a friend who did great with this big brand on TikTok Shop post Trybe videos for them. A creator with over $3m lifetime GMV that started ttshop with me in early 2024. She is a top producing retainer creator for them already on TT. It had been weeks since she posted the videos that were winners on TikTok they they asked her to post on Trybe. No approval, never run as ads. They just sat there. Their response after 3 weeks of waiting (on videos that had made tons of $$ on TikTok!): “oh we are trying to get Meta ads manager going” This is a huge red flag. Meta is NOT TikTok. I hear way too often that Trybe is “TikTok Shop for Meta”. Not true at all. The Meta ad algorithm is a tough, finicky, fickle beast and not something you just flip the switch on a week before Q4 and decide to pump $$ into ads. Doesn’t work that way people. Running meta ads is a skill and something that brands need to already know how to do before adding Trybe creators to the mix. Trust me i know, i have run tons of ads on Meta for my own brands and the last 12 months with Andromeda were so rough i paused them to focus on content creation for other brands. Too many brands are jumping on Trybe not having a real clue about how to even run Meta ads. And that will be a problem for them and for the creators making content for them on Trybe. Do your research as a creator- look at their Meta ad library and see current videos and how long they have run. Ask them what their testing and scaling strategy is for Q4. Look at their @trybe brand rating. Don’t just apply willy-nilly to every brand hoping to get accepted then blast out videos the brand may be unprepared to run. Put in the research upfront to have less frustration later and not waste time making content that won’t run. And if you are a brand, choose the creators asking these questions - it will help you create the right team to help you scale knowing your creators are in alignment with your goals and understand performance marketing. If you need a creator for Trybe in Q4 that has 15+ years brand operator experience, affiliate, and UGC skills - and a deep understanding of performance marketing - drop me a line. I’m starting my brand research on Trybe and choosing who i want to work with and help crush Q4. Let’s partner. But only if you know what ABO, CBO, CC, and BC mean 😂 #ugc #trybe #ugccommunity #ecom

Did a deep dive on Trybe over the weekend… i may be changing my mind about it.. I was in TikTok Shop in early 2024 and had massive success, and kinda getting those vibes now with Trybe. The performance side is what attracts me the most. I had a video get $500k ad spend this summer and i sure would have liked some % of that! The key with TTS was always brand/product selection. The real money wasn’t in the massive brands everyone did, but the undiscovered ones that were starting to taking off. Same applies to Trybe. If you can find a brand that doesn’t have a ton of creators but is running Meta ads and has product(s) that are scaling, and go all in with them if you hit a winning creative style, that’s the key. I see too many creators sending in videos on Trybe for these popular brands and wondering why they dont get approved or make $. Its because the brands get 300 ads/day submitted! Gotta find the less competitive ones. And also understand how ecom ad testing and scaling works. You won’t get paid instantly as it takes time for ads to go through the testing phase and start scaling. I have owned several ecom sites and run meta ads so i know this.. give it time. And lastly, its a volume game. You gotta pump out videos and not get paid initially for them (unless you negotiate retainers which is possible). But you also dont need super fancy edited videos. This was the part i liked the least but i used to do with TTS and I made thousands of videos so nothing i haven’t done / can’t do. Anyway. I’m still researching and digging in but prob gonna dive in on brand/product research soon. Anybody else start seeing the potential here? #ugc #ugccommunity #performancemarketing #trybe

That feeling when you submit the gdrive link for a ugc project then go back and casually rewatch the clips on your camera roll and say “damn those came out good!!” I’m my own harshest critic but when i get that feeling i know they are bangers…. #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

Inbound email just hit my inbox… i always find these lines funny: “You’ll need to order the product via Amazon, as it’s currently the fastest way for it to reach you. Don’t worry about the cost, we’ll reimburse you.” SURE you will…. Mmm hmm.. let me get right on that 😂 Oh and of course “its $150 for raw footage with the opportunity to get higher paid work in the future”. Mmmm hmmm… #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

Go through those old emails from previous brand projects and reply, there’s gold in them thar’ hills!! I randomly replied to an email i forgot about for a brand i worked for a few months ago that had sent a low follow on work offer and countered today with almost double the rate and got a quick yes and added to project. Repeat work is way easier to do than new brand prospecting and negotiations!! #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator
