After our report, #nonkyc_exchange reopened $XTM withdrawals, but only after cutting every holder's balance by 50.74%. They've decided to pass their losses on to their users.
They also blocked us after we asked the questions in that thread. We hope everyone watching takes note of how this exchange responds to scrutiny.

Its saying no centralized authority has the ability to roll back the chain. There is no switch to be flipped. An update for full nodes will be released and all operators are being asked to update to it. This will effectively roll back the chain since all operators seem to agree to the change. The same way Bitcoin rolled back the chain.

We regret to inform you that an exploit in the new transparent layer related to the Ironwood turnstile for supply accounting has been identified. The developers will be rolling the chain back to 14 October 2026, 1:00 PM Pacific Time. All exchanges have been notified and are temporarily suspending deposits and withdrawals. Please refrain from sending or receiving funds and avoid using your wallet in the meantime. We appreciate your patience while we resolve the issue. Our developers are already working on a fix. Further details will follow once the rollback is complete and an investigation has concluded.

Urgent: Pirate Chain Full node (Treasure Chest & CLI) Update required before 3rd October 2026.
A mandatory daemon update is required for users of Treasure Chest full node or CLI node. Please make sure to update to version 6.0.7 before the Ironwood activation on October 3rd 2026.
An issue was identified and has been patched. User funds remain safe.
If you are using Lite node, Edge Wallet, or Stashi wallet you don't need to do anything. Follow the update for those wallets when available.

The hardfork and dPoW update is scheduled for 19 September 2026 at approximately 19:00 UTC. Updating beforehand will help ensure your wallet continues syncing normally with the Pirate Chain $ARRR network.

Fast forward to 2026, and monero:native is trading around~$500 per XMR today.
It does make you wonder how many people took the plunge and listened to @officialmcafee back then, bought or mined monero:native, and are now sitting on over 100x gains right now.
