I’m so proud to support @ReubensRetreat at their 2023 REUball tonight, a charity founded by my constituents Nic & Mike Graham following the loss of their son Reuben. They are an amazing organisation currently supporting over 600 families who have suffered from child bereavement

There are no ITU beds in the valleys. So you might be 23 and invincible if you get COVID but what if you crash your car? Or a friend takes an overdose or a parent needs emergency surgery? Guess what! No beds for you either. And THAT’S how this affects everyone. Rant over.

This is a critical care patient. You cannot learn to look after patients as sick as this in a couple of days! ICU nursing is a speciality that demands significant knowledge and skill! Look after ICU nurses who are really struggling right now STAY AT HOME @BACCNUK

12 months ago on @Ward31MRI I cared for a lady who would cry each day because she missed her 2 dogs. The ward arranged for her dogs to visit her and we took pictures of them together so that she could look at them during her hospital stay... (1/2)

Yesterday, I visited this lady in her home with the district nurses & she had those same pics displayed above her bed. She still remembers the staff who did this for her in the ward & told me how very grateful she was to be cared for by such compassionate nurses πŸ₯° (2/2) – at Ashton-under-Lyne, England

It was amazing to see the impact this had on her life, and how she still remembered it after all this time. Her carers told me that she often tells them this story when they visit. This is what #nursing is about! ❀️ – at Ashton-under-Lyne, England
