Nelson’s prayer before Trafalgar. The last record, but one, that he made in his diary.
“May the great God, whom I worship, grant to my country, and for the benefit of Europe in general, a great and glorious victory; and may no misconduct in anyone tarnish it; and may humanity after victory be the predominant feature in the British fleet. For myself individually, I commit my life to Him that made me, and may His blessing alight on my endeavours for serving my country faithfully. To Him I resign myself, and the just cause which is entrusted to me to defend. Amen, Amen, Amen.”

Real images of human beings, from the Revolutionary War, seen by human eyes, processed by human brains, and drawn by human hands, are infinitely more valuable than AI produced images could ever be.

Argentinians often try to portray the Falklands invasion as deliberetely harmless. The junta pushed a "bloodless invasion" narrative to fool the world. But behind the propaganda, the 1982 occupation was defined by terror, looting, and systemic abuse of civilians.

"The Natives of this Country are of middle Stature straight bodied and slender-limb'd, their skins the Colour of Wood soot or of a dark chocolate their hair mostly black, some lank and others curled, they all wear it crop'd short, their Beards which are generally black they likewise crop short or singe off. Their features are far from being disagreeable and their voices are soft and tunable. They go quite naked both men and women without any manner of Cloathing whatever, even the women do not so much as cover their privities. Altho none of us were ever very near any of their women, one Gentlemen excepted, yet we are all as well satisfied of this as if we had lived among them." — Journal of the First Voyage of Captain Cook 🇬🇧 August 1770

I've run into a similar description, but for colonial Australia as a whole, in 'Sinosphere Australia' that is similarly ridiculous. A 'multiculture settler colony' is defined here as the presence of multiple languages, besides English. Nevermind the overwhelming British pop.

Everyone loves the Mayflower but have you ever heard of the Onrust?
In 1614, the Onrust was the first ship ever built in the state of modern-day New York. This Dutch yacht was the first to explore the Connecticut River and became the first American fur-trading vessel
Onrust’s replica museum ship is currently in harbor in Essex, Connecticut
