Today I was honored to present with Stavroula Kousteni the Meet-the-Professor session on Stem Cells ASBMR Task Force Report @ASBMR #ASBMR2024
Thanks to all the participants for a stimulating discussion
Our new study is out today in BoneResearch @SpringerNature entitled "Multimodal analyses of immune cells during bone repair identify macrophages as a therapeutic target in musculoskeletal trauma".

We identified the profibrotic role of Nf1-deficient Schwann cells in driving fibrotic accumulation in CPT via TGFβ.
We elucidated the mechanisms leading to the fibrotic fate of Nf1-deficient periosteal skeletal stem/progenitor cells
In our study, we uncovered that periosteal skeletal stem/progenitor cells and Schwann cells both carry NF1 biallelic inactivation in patients with CPT.
Our latest publication is out in @ScienceTM. This study from @SimonPerrin15 and co-authors investigated a severe form of bone repair defect and found a very unexpected mechanism involving Schwann cells!
A postdoctoral position in musculoskeletal regeneration and stem cells is open in @ColnotLab #imrb #inserm #upec
We look forward to receiving applications for this project integrating functional in vivo analyses, microscopy and single cell transcriptomics
Congratulations to @SimonPerrin15 for his travel award and poster presentation « Schwann cells and skeletal stem/progenitor cells in periosteum drive fibrosis and congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia in NF1 » @ASBMR
