🚨 Another App Store rule change.
Apple is now rejecting apps that ask for a rating on first launch or during onboarding.
Looks like the era of collecting thousands of easy 5-star reviews before users even try the app is coming to an end.
Apple is cleaning up the App Store.

Apple quietly updated App Review Guidelines, including its definition of spam apps.
Under them, Apple can remove some 'spam' apps already on the store.

Glam Up hit $1.8m ARR in 8 months.
Sprout hit $3m ARR in 7 months.
The key to that was our UGC playbook.
I'm finally dropping the playbook and lowkey I'm scared to drop this. You'll understand why once you read it.
It's gonna be three parts but here's part 1. Part 1 itself is 40 pages long.
I made sure it's tactical advice and upfront with no BS.
Bonus: repost + reply 'warmup' and I'll DM you the Account Setup + Warmup module from our internal creator course.
Must be following so I can DM.

A custom coloring page generator app is another dud. Very low search volume.. top ranking app is not getting many downloads or $$$.
Maybe I should just give up and join the masses of chatbot apps.

It looks like the YT summarizer is not a unique idea. Using @TryAstroApp, I found one potential keyword (highlighted in screenshot) that might be worth targeting..

From what I've read about ASO so far, ranking for a keyword in the App Store is based on factors such as:
- How aggressively you're targeting the keyword (For example, placing in the beginning of your app title)
- How many ratings your app has
- The age of your app
- How many people download your app after searching for that keyword

I've known plenty of people who felt stuck in their coding journey and struggling to level up your skills. If you're one of them, I want you to know it's completely NORMAL.
I've been there too.
However, just because it's normal doesn't mean it can't be improved! Here are some actionable tips that can help you with your journey 👇

I thought it was impossible to earn money from mobile apps when I started in 2018. My Apps made a bit more than $100 in first years in the AppStore.
How is that even possible to make $3…4K in a month almost on autopilot?
In 2023 I made $50K in sales while having just a few hours in a week to work on my apps. Usually, I do all the work in short 30-day sprints a few times a year.
Here is how you can replicate that:
- Chose the audience to build a product for
- Think about Apps you can build for them
- Pick the one that is easy to build
- Do not build yet! Research first, validate your product idea
- Build simple MVP
- Monetize
- If it works, keep it, if not do all the steps again
- Congrats, you have low maintenance income stream from the Mobile App
I'm starting the next development sprint in June and will build one more mobile App.
If you want to learn from me, you can follow along while I build my App and teach everything but code in Indie App Accelerator
We will get from App idea generation and validation till the release to the AppStore release and monetisation.
