At @tabconf, @kelvinator05 just took the stage to talk about the growing role of the Global Majority in Bitcoin open-source development.
He highlighted how the ecosystem is growing beyond contributions to existing projects, with communities, conferences, and companies emerging across the Global Majority.
He also shared some of the impact and products coming out of the ecosystem, and how local developers are stepping up as contributors and maintainers.
This is at the heart of what we do at Btrust: supporting developers in the Global Majority and creating opportunities for them to contribute to Bitcoin open source and help shape its future. – at Atlanta, GA

🏆 BOSS Battle 2026: And the winners are...
Before we announce the winners, there’s something we want to say.
Over the last four weeks, we watched people show up, wrestle with problems, push through challenges, and turn ideas into working code.
Thank you. This is exactly what we envisioned BOSS Battle to be about, and you’re the ones who made it happen. 🧡
And today, we get to celebrate some of that work. 🧵

Omandroid: work-in-progress update 🧪📱
Native Omarchy running on a Pixel 7 Pro: Arch Linux ARM, Hyprland and Omarchy's own packages, on a mainline Linux kernel. No Android underneath.
Hardware working
- Boots our own mainline kernel (7.3-rc) from the second boot slot, with stock Android kept on the other slot
- Display (1440×3120 OLED)
- GPU: Mali-G710 with OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.4 through Mesa (we added the G710 to Mesa's Panfrost driver), and Hyprland renders on it
- Touchscreen with multi-touch
- Power and volume buttons
- Battery level in the status bar
- Internal storage, with the system partitions locked read-only
- USB networking and SSH
Software working
- Omarchy themes, the menu, the notification shade and the Omarchy boot animation
- A phone-style home screen and launcher with app search and "ask your agent"
- On-screen keyboard
- App switcher: swipe up, tap to switch, flick to close
- Lock screen with a PIN pad: locks after boot and after the screensaver
- Power + volume down takes a screenshot
- Apps open full screen, like on Android
- Kernel updates installed from inside Linux
Next up: Wi-Fi (driver in progress), Bluetooth, charging, audio, then camera, cellular and Android apps through Waydroid.

Multi-vendor multisig is the way.
Multi-vendor multisig demo👇
One multisig, five different hardware vendors, connected five different ways all on mobile:
✅ @Ledger (Bluetooth)
✅ @Trezor (Bluetooth)
✅ @BlockstreamJade (QR)
✅ @FoundationHQ Passport (QR)
✅ @TwentyTwoHW Portal (NFC)
No single point of failure. Built on open standards. Everything stays end-to-end encrypted through the whole setup, and there’s a built-in E2EE chat for coordinating group setups.
Works whether you’re setting it up for yourself or splitting keys across a few people. All keys can be geographically distributed.
@KeystoneWallet, @SeedSigner, @selfcustodykrux, @TAPSIGNER also work.
@BitBoxSwiss and @satochip on mobile coming soon.
(Devices shown are for demo purposes, not a ranking or endorsement.)

100+ workshops. 60+ cities. One mission: Bitcoin education for India.
India doesn’t need more Bitcoin speculation. It needs more Bitcoin education.
Took the story of Bitcoin Bharat to Bitcoin Asia 2026 in Hong Kong.
No hype. Just education.

Huge.
Coding agents 🤝 Breez SDK
It’s time to build, folks.
Coding agents have transformed how products are built.
We analyzed ~1,000 inbound requests since 2023 and saw:
- 📈 New integrations grow 14x since Claude Code
- 🆕 Non-crypto apps integrations grow 5x in 2026
- 👀 It’s accelerating: Q2 was +61% above Q1
Builders need money that moves instantly, to anyone, anywhere.
That’s why they're choosing the Breez SDK.

What does it take to build an ecosystem where developers in the Global Majority can do more than participate in Bitcoin, but help shape where it goes next?
In the final episode of season one of Btrust in Focus, @proofofpaul sits with Abubakar Nur Khalil (@ihate1999), CEO of Btrust, to talk about the thinking behind Btrust, how the organization has evolved, and what it takes to build the foundations for a stronger Bitcoin ecosystem in the Global Majority.
They discuss the challenges of creating pathways for developers, building a team around a shared mission, and why Btrust sees its role as creating the conditions for others to build.
Abubakar also looks ahead at what Btrust is working towards: a stronger Bitcoin ecosystem where more developers from the Global Majority have the opportunity to build for the world, while Btrust continues to strengthen the foundations that make that possible.

Hi! There's no NIP you need to read for the coming session of code review. Depending on how things are going, we're planning to split the session it into nostr projects and peer-observer (github.com/peer-observer/pee…). On the nostr half: github.com/dergigi/nihao.
Tomorrow we're pressing the power button for the Privacy Track at @CodeOrangeDevs, starting with Payjoin.

Amazing!
Just weeks after mentioning the need for multiple implementations of the Fedimint protocol, the ecash engineering community has already responded.
Excellent stuff!
Had a great time at Ecash Hackday in Berlin, got a Fedimint running with 3 different implementations by @thesimplekid, me and the Fedimint team! 🚀
Already got 3 Fedimint implementations now, who will build the 4th one? 😏

AI agents can do the work. But can they pay for it?
We chose L402 for Ark Node AI.
What is L402?
What is x402?
Why bitcoin’s Lightning Network fit what we’re building.
Not a coin debate. A product decision. 👇

I’ll be present.
Be there too.
Our Code Review Club starts on 8th October with @payjoindevkit and Nostr NIPs.
