.@USDA is making two big announcements today at the World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin! π₯πΊπΈ
First, dairy producers can begin enrolling Monday in the 2027 Dairy Margin Coverage program, now stronger than ever and reauthorized through 2031 thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts Act.
Second, USDA is investing nearly $13 million through our Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives to support dairy operations across the country. With the University of Wisconsin being one of the recipients of this funding, dairies here in Wisconsin and across the Midwest are being supported.
Weβre investing in the future of American dairy!

Couch's Spadefoot is a toad that hibernates for years during droughts and then reimmerges for a few hours after a thorough monsoon rain to call for a mate. I've only seen and heard their symphony a few times here.

NEWS: US and China are discussing cutting or eliminating Chinaβs 15% tariff on U.S. LNG as part of a broader energy and agriculture package that could be announced when Xi Jinping visits Washington next week, two people familiar with discussions tell me.
The framework could also see each side cut tariffs on about $30B of goods.
The move could reopen Chinaβs market to U.S. LNG producers as a wave of new Gulf Coast export capacity comes online.
