Surely the mood music is now for a 15 team SL in 27 including London...if no clubs are relegated, what is the pushback? Do existing clubs want a larger slice of the pie, which they might get if remained at 14

Relegate the lowest placed team who is on full central funding in 2026.

Hopefully investment from the Southern Hemisphere will allow a strategy for the South of England to be resourced with finances to grow the game, a proportionate universal approach for the sport.

It is a small price to pay to help grow the game, currently North Wales are diluting the talent pool of semi pro standard players from the North West with a South Wales base can hopefully help keep the RL talent coming through in SW in the sport 😉🏉🙏

Most people know these days before the official announcement, which devalues how newsworthy the announcements actually are...

I agree with Andy, it would probably grease the wheels for more investment into the sport if fans/supporters showed more positivity. And if you look at eyeballs on the sport attendances and viewing figures are up

Towse, Harrison, Ward, Pratt (Wakefield) all coming from York community clubs, not a bad start, there are others too which are currently in SL systems elsewhere

Different ideas and opinions which make for good talking point, it will take several years to develop a pathway where you have York talent coming through which has started at younger age groups. If the money is there I think its a good temp quick fix...

It is within the rules, smart way of feeding the SL team without their own establishment pathways, will probably be difficult to achieve to the same level even if they want too next year with salary cap coming in...

Without having a reserves/under 19s, York need something like the Newcastle link up to feed players in when injuries arise, a better model than loaning players in from other systems if affordable.

A couple of rational points here: - trains affected - earlier in the year (less time to save up) - other games played across the weekend - lost some of the attendance from recent years by not having 1895 cup there

Cannot understand why Mikey Lewis has not been substituted he is clearly struggling to defend.

I walked up backwards with a hammy strain in order to finish in the first year

Any of his teammates who could transition to Rugby League in a short off season to ease the injury crisis in the sport?

It took over 250 years to build York Minster. The first builders knew they would never see it finished, yet they started the work anyway. When you believe in eternity, you build differently. – at York, England

Toulouse, Bradford and York have all won 3 matches from 9 to start Super League. If you would have been told that before the season started, it would have been seen as an outstanding return.

Surely that is some serious overs, have to question the value for money and return on investment...
