Thread about why you should *NOT* be duped by Brad Bradford's faux-progressive speech come mayoral election time. Take it from someone in his ward, HE IS NOT IT.
Hey @BradMBradford
A lot of people rightfully criticizing the “no one wants a left vs right circus” comment. I’m not going there, before ideology and views come up how about: what have you accomplished that makes you Mayoral material?

Thought this was a great idea, so I ripped it off. Here's 50 films I saw for the first time on @TCMUnderground: letterboxd.com/captfuzz/list…
In honor of TCM Underground ending tonight , I’m sharing a list of my favorite discoveries through the program. Thank you to @milliedechirico for showing us these wonderful films.

This kind of entitlement is so on brand for @johntory,
He resigned.
He took no questions.
He kept the keys.
Change the locks, Toronto.
John Tory will stay on as Mayor for this Wednesday’s budget meeting, according to Councillor James Pasternak on the way into meet him to talk budget #TOpoli
JFC, so this is how he's playing it, pretending to be a man of principle then pretending he had to be persuaded to stay. What a sleazebag. Toronto, you're being played. I'm not sure why I expected any better of him.

This is a wild thing to brag about in a province that saw water contamination deaths a generation ago, and thousands of seniors die living in poorly-inspected, for-profit squalor homes in the last 2-3 years. But that’s @fordnation and his MPPs, callous and corrupt at all times.

55? I'm 55. That means when I was watching my first Midnight Madness screening at the age of 22, the person programming and introducing the films was also that young? The mind boggles. R.I.P. Noah Cowan. Midnight Madness made me the cinephile I am today.

There've been countless reasons to leave this platform these last few months, but looks like Twitter shutting off the API for third party apps is what's going to finally push me out the door. I'll be keeping the account active, but no longer actively reading my feed.
Not that I'm much of a tweeter anyways, but if you're on mastodon and want to look me up, you can find me at @CaptFuzz@mstdn.party
Shoutout to @tweetbot, my app of choice. Looking forward to Ivory.

It’s remarkable, really. The central plank of @JohnTory’s 2014 campaign platform was absolute vaporware, and he got elected two more times. Sometimes it seems that nothing matters, and that there is no accountability once in office.
