Following on from my recent debate in ⁦@UKParliament⁩ on the English Language sector today I brought local schools to meet ⁦@beisgovuk⁩ Minister ⁦@scullyp⁩. The sector is vital for Bournemouth and Poole and I want to make sure they get all the support they need

Thank you to all the MPs who joined our productive roundtable discussion on 24 March. Our request to MPs was a simple one and those attending understood the situation and pledged to do all in their power to help #UKELT bounce back and thrive. More > bit.ly/3d1CIFm

We hear you James. @ConorBurnsUK took our plight to the highest levels and 🙏 our local council delivered! The question is the value of tourism through EFL SUPPLY here compared to the larger cities? Do write to @ConorBurnsUK who I trust will discuss with @KarenPBuckMP and others! – at Bournemouth, England
Have written to @KarenPBuckMP asking her for her support for the ELT industry. For our sector to survive we need the business rates holiday to be extended, ongoing financial assistance, support for Erasmus, and access for seasonal workers in the summer #intled @englishuklondon

No need to apologise. We are just incredibly grateful to you for taking our real concerns and fears to the highest level. 🙏👍🏻🇬🇧 – at Bournemouth, England
Sorry it took longer than we would have wished. I've been working very hard on this behind the scenes. But the result is great news.

Urgency is what is required! Communication is key! Our industry along with others is going to be decimated without HELP NOW!!!! and it’s all happening on your doorstep @ConorBurnsUK @englishuk – at Bournemouth, England
I am in direct communication with Ministers in both Treasury and BEIS. I reinforced the issue with a cabinet minister yesterday afternoon
