It's difficult to argue with Reform and the Trump administration who both don't really get the idea of saying words and people then assuming you meant them.

A hostile audience for any party is obvious, but not bias. If Reform are polling at say 23%, then 77% of a balanced audience who have all expressed a voting intention will be against them. In an audience including those who haven't, that number against will grow significantly.

Hitler "didn't want war" with Britain the way a mugger doesn't want a fight with his victim. He wanted Britain to stand aside while he took Europe.
Britain publicly guaranteed Poland's independence in March 1939. Hitler invaded Poland anyway.
