The scam of 'net zero by 2050' demonstrated again:
1) Bristol airport gets the go ahead for expansion.
2) Govt approves development of Abigail Oil field in the N.Sea.
Just turn up the 'Negative emission' dial & all is rosy - i.e. we pass our mitigation burden on to our children.

New term introduced here: to "dewater" a region, as in "developers' business model dewaters the area it builds on". But they forget to mention if you dewater an area you de-species it too - and ultimately that will include humans #ecocide cambridgeindependent.co.uk/n…

If, as @SouthCambs says, it has an adequate 5-year land supply for housing, why is the council still granting planning permissions in the open countryside outside village boundaries?

Just left a meeting about proposed incinerators in Wisbech and Woodhurst. So: largest incinerator in Europe proposed which will have c360 deliveries by lorry daily, whose waste can be stored for 11 days. Food processing factories and chicken farms will have to close. @wiswinorguk – at Holt, England
Will affect agricultural land and people’s health. This is what’s being proposed for agricultural land in an area that produces double the average food in the country. @PANUKPFC @cam_friends – at Holt, England
