That is a great suggestion and I didn't know the website was still linking out to here. If you get a moment, can you send me the webpage that is linking to this account, so I can have it removed? Thank you so much.

Sorry, I don't have an answer to this off the top of my head. Someone else on the team might know more - try starting an official case with us via email at [email protected]

Sorry about that! Pretty much every Thunderbolt dock of ours in-between works with USB-C! Our TS4 would be a better fit if it's not too late to return the TS3 Plus.

Pretty much no USB-C hosts support this, which is why we consider USB4 the minimum requirement for the TS5 Plus. If you're talking about the TS3 Plus, it's because the chipset it uses is from before backwards compatibility from Thunderbolt to USB was even an option.

The TS5 Plus leverages a technology called PCIe Passthrough to drive its Ethernet and the majority of the USB ports. This gives the dock expandability beyond what Thunderbolt natively supports, but the host computer has to support PCIe passthrough to support these features.

Which dock is this in reference to? If you are referencing our newest TS5 Plus, the two technically can work together, but there's so many features lost that we do not consider USB-C hosts compatible.

Sorry about that! Try disconnecting the dock from wall power for 30-45 seconds before plugging it back in, then swap out the Thunderbolt cable if you have a spare. Beyond that, send us an email regarding this behavior if you haven't yet! [email protected]

Without more context here, my guess is that the power bank is the most likely issue.

Beyond that, try disconnecting all your USB devices, then plug one in at a time until you get the error. That will tell you specifically what device is throwing out the error.

If you are using the TS4 (not the TB4 Pro Dock), try installing the driver below. macOS limits how much power connected hubs and docks can provide to other connected devices, and this driver re-negotiates higher power capabilities. downloads.caldigit.com/CalDi…

Hi Marcus, Thank you for contacting CalDigit Support. Please send us a DM or an email with your dock's serial number (located near the rear ports, likely starting with the letter "A" or "B") and a photo of your PSU with the label facing up. Our email is [email protected]

As a result, we are not currently able to give you a definitive yes, but we invite you to give it a try and let us know how it goes if you give it a try with a Thunderbolt 5 dock or hub down the road. We hope to get our hands on some of the new Macs for testing as well.
