Grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this project under your strong mentorship @UGrewalMD and all the other great authors! Looking forward to working more in the NEN space!!
Kudos to @EmoryDeptofMed resident @CShi321 for leading this comprehensive review on systemic therapies in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine carcinomas in the European Journal of Cancer. GEP-NEC represents an incredibly heterogeneous and challenging disease to treat. Despite years of work, platinum chemotherapy regimens remain the mainstay of treatment (indeed a suboptimal standard of care), with select patients deriving benefit from targeted therapy and immune checkpoint inhibitors. Luckily there are newer agents (especially DLL3-targeting agents), that are currently in development and appear promising. @WinshipAtEmory @OncoThor @rohit_thum @Sarbaji85064063 @ChandrikhaC @helops79 🦓💊📈 Link: ejcancer.com/article/S0959-8…

Happy to share in print @OncJournal - Robust response to Pembrolizumab in a patient with metastatic VIPoma with acquired TMB-high/MSI-high phenotype post treatment with temozolomide. Bottom line- in a patient with pancreatic or lung NET post exposure to temozolomide: always check liquid biopsy (or tissue if possible) and test for a hypermutated phenotype. In the presence of MSI-H disease or co-occurring DDR alterations, response to ICI can be durable and robust. Kudos to @CShi321 @EmoryUniversity and my colleagues @PoHienEar @SethConcorsMD and others for helping put this together. @WinshipAtEmory @TheGutOncLab academic.oup.com/oncolo/adva…
