What a wonderful day for our NET community in the Mountain West ! 🦓❤️
We were so happy to welcome the SEES (Sleep, Eat, Exercise, Spirit) program from the @HealingNET1 to @huntsmancancer and @UofUHealth. This past Saturday was a day focused on helping our patients not only receive the best cancer treatment, but live well with cancer.
A huge thank you to Dr. Eric Liu and the entire Healing NET Foundation team, especially the amazing Karalyn Miller Faulkner and Stacey Farnum, for bringing SEES to Utah and partnering with us. We are so grateful to Huntsman Cancer Institute for supporting the program, especially Megan Provost, and to our NET Destination Care team (Brennan Loyola, Megan Jones, and Audrey Laney). And a special thank you to all the sponsors whose support made this event possible!
Thank you to our amazing speakers and panelists: Eric Liu, Melissa Zappa, Ernestine Trujillo, Dr. Pamela Hansen, Megan Henderson, Lilah Brophy, Corinne Fellerhoff, and Leslie Hales. It was a privilege to be part of this with all of you.
Most importantly, thank you to our patients and families. You are why we do this.
So proud of what we are building together for the NET community in the Mountain West! 🦓❤️

Great work by @umangtalking and our team at @huntsmancancer!
OPTIMAS is asking an important question in metastatic prostate cancer: can we safely de-intensify therapy for patients with an excellent PSA response and reduce treatment burden and fatigue?
Proud to see this patient-centered trial!

Calling all who are interested in neuroendocrine tumors!
This is an excellent virtual educational program for patients with NETs, families and caregivers.
And it is free!
Please share with anyone in the NET community who might be interested!
@CureNETs
Education is one of the most powerful tools we have. I hope many of you will take advantage of this outstanding program hosted by NETRF and University of Chicago and share it with anyone in the NET community who may benefit.
This free, virtual event brings together NET experts to discuss the latest advances in diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, symptom management, and survivorship. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to hear from fellow patients and caregivers and become more informed and empowered throughout your NET journey.

Time is life.
Prior authorization reform is about our patients. Every unnecessary delay means more time waiting for cancer treatment, medications, imaging, or other care they need.
Let’s work together to reduce those delays and help patients get the right care, at the right time. Passing the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act (S. 1816/H.R. 3514) is an important step.
Please take a minute to contact your lawmakers and ask them to support this bipartisan legislation.
Thank you to the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for continuing to advocate for our patients and for bringing so many voices together to improve cancer care.
Prior authorization delays harm people w cancer. The #SeniorsAct, is a bipartisan bill that would help #FixPriorAuth in Medicare Advantage and improve pt care. Congress needs to act NOW.
Tell your lawmakers to pass the Seniors Act: bit.ly/4vcCrWo

So grateful to Karakyn for this beautiful piece highlighting our neuroendocrine cancer team at Huntsman Cancer Institute and for everything she and @HealingNET1 do for the NET community ❤️
Her reflections are such a powerful reminder that caring for patients truly takes a village. Physicians may be the ones walking into the room, but behind every visit is an extraordinary team working with compassion, dedication, and heart...nurses, APPs, coordinators, schedulers, supportive care, wellness teams, clinical research staff, and so many others across @huntsmancancer at @UofUHealth .
I am incredibly proud of our village and deeply grateful to work alongside colleagues who show up for our patients and families every single day.
Thank you, Karakyn, for recognizing the humanity behind this work and for being such a strong advocate for the NET community.

Today at the #ASCOAdvocacySummit in Washington, we’re asking Congress to support the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act—because prior authorization delays care, and in cancer, time matters. @ASCO
You can help: visit asco.quorum.us/action_center… ASCO’s ACT Network to quickly send a message to your Members of Congress 1/5
Prior authorization means patients are told to wait—not because care isn’t needed, but because insurance hasn’t approved it yet. Even routine, life-saving treatments, scans, and medications can be delayed for days or weeks. 3/5
That’s why I am urging Congress to support the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act, which would modernize & streamline prior auth in Medicare Advantage—bringing transparency, accountability, and electronic processing. You can get involved too! Visit asco.org/actnetwork to send letters &/or contact your Members of Congress. #ASCOAdvocacy 5/5 @ASCO
