I raised again the need to establish a scheme to evacuate seriously injured Palestinian children from Gaza for treatment in our country. We introduced a scheme for Ukrainian children & to extend that scheme to children from Gaza would be a small but important act of humanity.

The Israeli Ambassador has historically rejected Palestinian statehood aspirations, supporting a Greater Israel.
She described the 1948 Nakba as “an Arab lie” & when told she was making “an argument for destroying the whole of Gaza,” she replied, “do you have another solution?”.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza has just published a 649-page document with the the name, age, gender, ID number of every Palestinian killed in Gaza from October 7 to August 31 that it has info for (over 34k out of 40k). The 1st 14 pages the age is listed as 0 (under 1 year old)

I am appalled that Israel keeps targeting schools in Gaza — where thousands of displaced people are sheltering — with indiscriminate strikes. My heart goes out to the loved ones of all victims, including the UN aid workers who were tragically killed.
Schools and humanitarian workers must never be targets. There must be accountability for violations of international law, and there must be a ceasefire now.

Six @UNRWA colleagues killed today when two airstrikes hit a school and its surroundings in Nuseirat in the middle areas.
This is the highest death toll among our staff in a single incident.
Among those killed was the manager of the UNRWA shelter and other team members providing assistance to displaced people.
Sincere condolences to their families and loved ones.
This school has been hit five times since the war began.
It is home to around 12,000 displaced people, mainly women and children.
No one is safe in Gaza
No one is spared.
Schools and other civilian infrastructure must be protected at all times, they are not a target.
We call on all parties to the conflict to never use schools or the areas around them for military or fighting purposes.

With the outpouring horror in Gaza, one doesn't need to be a medical professional to empathize with these doctors' feelings. Enraged at the incessant brutality used against defenseless civilians. Offended at the flimsy justifications made up to cover for int'l crimes. Incapable to hear anyone's excuses anymore. Desperate for change, and accountability.

As expected, the number of martyrs from Al-Tabi'een School massacre is growing, as three of the injured who were hospitalised at Ahli Arab Hospital in #Gaza and had burns covering more than 60% of their body area have died so far due to a lack of capabilities to deal with these cases, such as intensive care and isolation to avoid infection.
