Jon Freeman always always finds a way to make an awful game altering call against Charlotte FC. Every time I see he’s officiating our matches I roll my eyes. Complete clown of a ref.

Dean Smith called the performance poor. Said only Kahlina and Toklomati had good games. His half message: “I can talk tactics all I want but if u don’t want to get close to people u’re going to get embarrassed tonight. We were poor. That’s as bad as I’ve seen us for a long time.”

This is a consistent pattern for aging European players. They come over here expecting to stroll around, then the level is way higher than they expected (Giroud got benched for a 20 y/o El Salvadoran kid). Then they leave cause they can’t hack it and aim digs at the culture.

🚨🗣 Olivier Giroud on the MLS: "On the football front, it wasn't really for me. For me, the United States is not a football country." Did Giroud expose the MLS? 🇺🇸😱

Last night was probably a top 5 game for me in the history of @CharlotteFC. The pouring rain. Down 0-2. To then score 3 goals in 30min. Absolute cinema

That was such a massive result for so many reasons. Incredible resilience and mentality to come back to win that game against a top seed in MLS. Our record against the better sides is shaky, so this was a huge win for table position and confidence.

HUGE result by Charlotte FC tonight. In the pouring rain, they came back from behind on the road in a stadium they’ve historically not done great in. Really proud of the performance today, bravo to the team 👏

Allan Saint-Maximin has already become one of MLS's must-watch players. 100th percentile dribbler + passing is a threat. ASM's quick switches created chances for Biel vs. Houston. I imagine ASM + Biel will continue to understand each other better, too. Charlotte FC are fun.
