Zebra mussels use their strength to firmly attach themselves to hard surfaces such as rocks, native mussels, docks, and boats. They create massive problems for our native species - outcompeting for food and space.

Since 2017, boaters have used Hennepin Environment’s CD3 (clean-drain-dry-dispose) station tools more than 100,000 times! In 2021 alone there have been over 23,000 tool uses so far. Thank you to both Minnesota boaters and the many partners that make these stations possible!
