Time to transition from 'dependency' to 'sustainability'. I know I’ve reiterated these concepts several times, and it’s high time I put them into action. In the photos, it is me alongside lovers, friends, and supporters of @NyakaGlobal as we broke ground for The Nyaka Headquarters Building in Kanungu District Some might wonder: How can we be breaking ground while celebrating #NyakaAt25Years? Yes, we are commemorating 2 decades and a half of profound work, impactful initiatives, and transformation of lives, but all of this has occurred without a physical 'major office' in Kanungu. For those who have had the opportunity to engage with us, you may have noticed that our main offices have been located in Kampala, quite far from the communities we serve. We have successfully operated for 25 years, but it certainly comes with its challenges. I am not only pleased but also incredibly excited to announce that the Nyaka main offices will now officially be located on Nyaka Hill alongside our other projects, which include the schools, library, clinics, and more. This consolidation will undoubtedly make it easier and more effective for us to manage our programs! Are there partnership opportunities available? Absolutely! Most of our projects have homes ( shelter) it's a few to be specific, the Bank and the office like I mentioned that need space. The remaining unallocated projects under Nyaka will only take up a portion, perhaps a quarter, of this magnificent Great Legacy Building. This means that there will be additional space available. While it isn’t up for auction, it’s a reward for those who have patiently stayed with us along this journey. Now you know where the next 'business centre' will be at. A heartfelt thank you to the Nyakagezi Community and the entire Kanungu District, as well as our friends, partners, and well-wishers, for standing by us through all these years.
