The headwaters of the #Laramie River are in the same area as those of the North Platte upstream of Saratoga. Will we get flooding as well? The NWS doesn't say, but it seems likely.
May 15, 1:40pm- A River Flood Watch is in effect for the North Platte River at Saratoga until further notice. Do not drive into flooded areas… Turn around, don’t drown! #wywx

Twitter has mistakenly blocked my main account, due to a malicious false report or a "bot" misconstruing a literary reference. I don't want just to delete the tweet, in case that leaves a strike on my record, so you won't hear much from me today until my "appeal" is considered.
This is from the outgoing administration, which is working hard to sabotage the next one whilst still lying about the election and the severity of the pandemic. What do you think: Can we believe it?

The voteglass.org Web page is now online! It's a one-pager, designed to be a quick, 5-minute read that informs the busy voter (who isn't!) of my qualifications and views. Critiques and corrections welcome!
Google and its lobbyists at @EFF oppose "zero-rating" because it is such a useful and effective way for a would-be Google competitor to gain a toehold and threaten its multiple Internet monopolies. The so-called #NetNeutrality regs, written and bought by Google, aren't neutral!
Replying to @EFFLive
.@RepWalberg advocates a carve-out in the #netneutrality rules for zero-rating, claiming that zero-rating practices benefit the public. In truth, many zero-rating schemes have been shown to mean higher costs for users. eff.org/deeplinks/2019/02/co…

A thread (brief, I promise) about what's going on this morning.
Today, in Congress, #SubCommTech (the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology of @EnergyCommerce, the House Committee on Energy and Commerce) is "marking up" the so-called #SaveTheNet Act. [Thread]
In 2015, an @FCC that had undergone regulatory capture by monopolist Google passed harmful, so-called #NetNeutrality regulations that its corporate lobbyists wrote. Fortunately, they were repealed before too much damage was done... and are hopefully gone for good.

In 2015, the @fcc passed regulation to protect #netneutrality, protections we sadly need to fight for once again today #Web30

At @EnergyCommerce #SubCommTech hearing, #USF comes up repeatedly. Fact: even under #TitleII regulation, ISPs that were not phone companies were left out and denied funding. #SaveTheNet #NetNeutrality
False. @McDowellTweet specifically recognized the efforts of small ISPs and WISPs, which so-called #NetNeutrality regs threaten.

At @EnergyCommerce #SubCommTech hearing, @RepPeteOlson points out that "General Conduct Standard" (part of so-called #NetNeutrality regs) chilled innovation and allowed @FCC to be arbitrary and capricious. It'd be restored by the #SaveTheNet Act.

At @EnergyCommerce #SubCommTech hearing, @repgregwalden points out that most of @gregoryGreen's business would not be hit by the so-called #NetNeutrality regs. And that the regs would not cover edge providers, who REALLY censor the Net.
Unsurprisingly, this Google lobbyist refers readers to the false and deceptive output of OTHER Google lobbyists. #NetNeutrality #SaveTheNet
Why is restoring #Netneutrality now so urgent?

#NetNeutrality in 2019: The internet as we know it is still very much open, thriving and growing. The dire predictions that ISPs would engage in throttling, blocking and anti-competitive prioritization have simply… not happened. @EnergyCommerce 1/2

At @EnergyCommerce #SubCommTech hearing, @McDowellTweet - prompted by @boblatta - notes all the ways in which the @FCC could strangle the Internet with regulation if it were subjected to #TitleII of the Telecom Act - a title written to regulate the Bell monopoly. #NetNeutrality
