Results from the committee's initial ballot are in. 22 teams received enough support (all but 3 eligible votes) to get voted into the field as at-large while 35 got at least 4 votes to make it to the under consideration board. Combined with 12 AQs, we have 34 teams in the field.

Remember as you enjoy these conference tournaments over the next week: No team in the modern bracket era (since ‘85) has won the national title without reaching at least the semis of their conference tourney. (There are a couple that were in leagues that didn’t have tournaments.)

On Charles Bediako as it pertains to Alabama being left out today, Sun Belt Commissioner Keith Gill:
"We talked about it a lot. They are 16-5 without him, 3-2 with him. We didn't see much of a difference (in the results)."

Tonight's Purdue-Alabama game (@espn, 7p ET) pairs the two top programs since COVID that haven't (yet?) won a national championship. Since 2021, the two have combined for three No. 1 seeds, two No. 2 seeds, 20 NCAA tourney wins, six Sweet 16s and two Final Fours.
