One GM: “It’s mercenary off-brand G League basketball.”
Curious what that person thought they were viewing the last few years.
College basketball hasn't been "college" basketball as of late.
Trey Kaufman-Renn gives Kansas a better chance to bounce back in March.
But is this injunction-driven roster build really how Bill Self should want his final chapter to look?

Before this year's college basketball season starts, a quick reminder that the national champion in April is always awesome in November.
The season can turn into a grind, but national championship teams always showcase themselves in November when they're fresh and motivated.
BYU is leading the CFP chase, followed closely by Miami and Ohio State.
Utah, Alabama, and Wake Forest are knocking on the door of the field.
It makes no sense to keep paying revenue share for a program when the only reason you haven't fired the coach is the buyout cost.
If the buyout is too much, then you shouldn't be digging an even deeper hole to climb out of.
Either save $ to start fresh or find the buyout cash.
The exposure schools like Minnesota, Houston, and Mississippi State get playing in the CFP will be worth A TON.
Playoff expansion will earn about $100 million annually more per year when including the loss of championship games.
Spread across schools, that's barely anything. As I've said, the move wasn't about money. It was just putting more teams in the mix.
There are about 20 college basketball teams whose fans think this might be their year.
About 15 of those think that's dependent on keeping their guys eligible.
People are acting like the expanded playoff is killing college football.
Conference realignment is why we are here.
Regional, small conferences is what we are really missing.
This app will be so much more entertaining when the last College Football Playoff bid is between NC State, Memphis, and Iowa State.
James Madison is paying the American $23 million to join.
If you're schools like USF, UConn, or Tulane that are looking to join the ACC or Big 12, bringing a 9-figure deal with you may be a prerequisite.
James Madison is leaving the Sun Belt for the American Conference by July 1, 2028.
The move carries a reported $23M entry fee, plus an expected $5M Sun Belt exit fee. JMU will also gain access to the American’s TV, postseason and NCAA revenue shares.

They should've thrown a flag on Brady for tripping.
A 24-team College Football Playoff means about 17.5% of teams make the playoff.
A 64-team NCAA Tournament would mean about 17.5% of teams make the tournament.
Finally have a good handle on rosters, which are still subject to change.
But I'm ready to make preseason 1 seed projections, led by Overall 1 Florida.
Great proposal.
Being a college athlete should mean being an actual college student.
SEC presidents will meet next week to consider a proposal that would reestablish a year-in-residency mandate for athletes moving within the conference, sources tell @YahooSports.
The move would require athletes to miss a season if transferring from one SEC school to another.

68 votes • Final resultsPitt lost their starting QB for the year and Mississippi State's wins over Missouri and Minnesota look a whole lot better after Missouri trounced Florida and Minnesota beat Michigan.
The selection committee would clearly prefer Mississippi State to Pitt right now.
AP voter Greg Luca had Miss State #18 and Pitt #23 last week.
Miss State lost by 33 points to Alabama.
Pitt beat 4-0 Virginia Tech on the road.
You want to know where he has those two ranked in his ballot today?
He moved 4-1 Miss State up to #10.
He dropped 5-0 Pitt to unranked.
Yes, he moved Miss State UP 8 SPOTS FOR LOSING BY 33 POINTS, and dropped Pitt OUT OF THE RANKINGS FOR BEATING AN UNDEFEATED TEAM ON THE ROAD.
This won't happen.
If the Big Ten and SEC both expand to 20 (or more if the cap is eliminated), one of the ACC or Big 12 will take schools from the other.
On3's @walexander projects conference realignment if the college sports bill's 20-team cap becomes law🔁
