Kulpreet Singh (@jungly) is building p2poolv2, a decentralized mining pool. Pools are one of bitcoin’s last big points of centralization, and p2poolv2 nixes the operator entirely, letting miners coordinate peer to peer and make payouts without middlemen.

Announcing LayerTree: a new tree-based scaling solution for Bitcoin that permits O(1), independent of the number of users in the system: xitter.cf/lightning/status/21108…
A single UTXO can hold the balance of millions of users as an off-chain Merkle-sum tree.
Transaction introspection techniques permit batched exit from the system in a single transaction w/o any pre-signing: layertree.tech
Introducing LayerTree, a non-custodial scaling solution on bitcoin that connects to Lightning.
Using covenants, one UXTO can be shared by a million users. Any user can leave at any time in a single transaction. Users don't need to be online to receive. Funds never time out.
LayerTree is the next step in bringing bitcoin to billions.

Coinjoin transactions can look like normal transactions and avoid being noticed by exchanges, chainalysis etc.
I have created a proof of concept to test different type of pools using musig2 and pre-signed transactions. Would appreciate any feedback to improve it.
I will share joinstr v2 spec and proof of concept in a few weeks: xitter.cf/1440000bytes/status/20…

Bob owns a hardware wallet but doesn't feel comfortable trusting the seed phrase it gave him. He rolls dice, turns the rolls into a new seed phrase with EntropyLab on an offline computer, and loads it onto his hardware wallet. Now he only needs to trust the hardware wallet for signing transactions.

Chain-analysis assumes all inputs in a transaction belong to one sender.
Payjoin @payjoindevkit breaks that, because the receiver adds an input too. The amount is hidden and the heuristics become unreliable.

Sparrow has gotten extensively scanned by MANY people in the past 8 weeks, and Craig is among the most responsible developers I’ve interacted with when it came to handling security reports. He has already released updated versions

Today we'd like to introduce you to @BeulahEvanjalin 👋
Beulah is a cryptographer and researcher working on Nested Musig2. Her work is jointly funded by a grant from @secondhq and vora.io
She started her career as a backend engineer but couldn't ignore her passion for the math that underpins bitcoin. It wasn't long before she started devoting her nights and weekends to learning the cryptography used in bitcoin.
Eventually she found her way to bitcoin open-source and the rest is history!

"Depots", a new bitcoin scaling solution was recently proposed. It requires CTV+CSFS to work, and users store their money in off-chain lightning channels.
@TumaBitcoiner and I are going live in 1.5hr to talk about it and more Bitcoin dev news of the week on @btcinsider__
