We need more detailed coverage of local party politics. In my experience Manhattan is much more grass roots, democratic, and transparent, but supposedly less powerful? What was the meaning of the NKD program? Who was behind it?

My kid also complains about his zoned NYC public school but he did fine. She may feel otherwise in 10 yrs. The system is terrible for poor children but I bet hers will benefit in the end: a high-end NYC education is over-rated: luxurious but coddling and intellectually precious

More simply: my kid also complains about having been sent to his zoned public NYC school but he turned out fine and is a culturally richer person for it. Donât wish for a minute he went to Dalton. Maybe the 16-yr-oldâs isnât the last word

This is very, very strong. Props to @AOC for her clarity in cutting through the AI executivesâ propaganda and reframing the discussion. These companies can be prosecuted NOW under existing laws
New email from @AOC to her list with some of her most expansive comments yet on AI:
"Silicon Valley billionaires want us to believe that AI robots will destroy humanity. But the biggest threat to humanity are the tech oligarchs themselves."
I donât understand the relationship btwn the Seddio-Lopez leadership history & historic Black political power base in Bklyn. Compared w Mnhttn Bklyn Dems *do* seem corrupt: not allowing DLâs to participate in governance; related to decline of grassroots Black politics in Bklyn?

Would really appreciate a deeper history from you & @GwynneFitz of the NKDs and Brooklyn Canât Wait and how the reform movement dovetails w demographic change, DSA growth, and waning historic dem leadership in Bkln!

Male fantasy that violence and domination are consistent with family and love. The Sopranos was all about unraveling that.

Strange how "uncommitted" voters saying they won't vote Dem is a betrayal but Stevens voters saying they won't vote Dem is a warning.

Mendelson pretended to be positive but made many of the same points: lackluster writing, cliched styling, misconstrual of classical culture

Many people taking issue with Mamdani calling Netanyahu a war criminal don't even bother making the case that Netanyahu is not a war criminal - because by any honest reading of intl law he is.
