Deep respect for my friend District Leader @joeycsaban for demonstrating what this moment demands: moral clarity. Politics is no excuse for antisemitism. Promoting Henry Ford’s The International Jew, which is notorious antisemitic propaganda praised by Hitler, and repeatedly trafficking in conspiratorial rhetoric about Jews or “Zionists” crosses every moral line. At a time when Jewish New Yorkers are being attacked and antisemitic hate remains pervasive, silence and political calculation are indefensible. Words have consequences. Accountability must follow. Joey has built a diverse coalition around a principle larger than any Kings County political contest: hatred cannot be excused because confronting it is inconvenient. This is repeated conduct, not an isolated mistake. Carmella Charrington should resign. Thank you, Joey, for putting principle before politics. That is leadership.
