‘Tough love’, to solve homelessness is a foolish fool’s errand. It isn’t complex. It’s a philosophical problem. #UBI enabled autonomy and well invested public services - that’s it. Decisions made by the great and the good trying their best isn’t good enough. Temporary fixes fail.

When I was Mayor, We gave money to people and they spent it like you and I spend money, because people are people. The reason why that’s shocking for some is because of the way class and race intersect in our country. We need a guaranteed income.
