In today’s episode of most irrelevant and pointless things people do for seeking validation from dumbos. Also at least one of them is a Tambram.
Can you imagine a 2-hour conversation between a VC and an AI researcher on AI and LLMs entirely in Sanskrit? We just recorded one. Could this be the world's first technical podcast in Sanskrit? Can't wait to share it. Here is a raw glimpse

We don't talk about this enough (or at all) -- there is a massive conflict of interest in Indian education. Educators pursue sciences for their career and then use their position to peddle personal linguistic, religious, spiritual, and political beliefs. I've seen enough of this behaviour in my own years as an engineering student. I have no opinions on Sanskrit. Languages serve humans, not the other way around. But educators mixing their personal beliefs with their responsibilities towards students and nation-building needs to be studied.

This is so true about India. India's priorities are so screwed up. Our supposedly best brains are more interested in reviving some past obscure Brahminical language out of abundant self-pity because someone's told them it's scientifically the best language. Elitism & casteism.
America: we'll develop the best frontier models. China: we'll develop the cheapest frontier models. India:

What a waste! Just a look at the replies from the author of the tweet makes their elitism and echo chamber existence clear. And their stupid belief that the past and Sanskrit are the bestest. Yuck!

My dear friends, please, I hope to demand your absolute attention to this matter: In 2018, my junior from St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, Dr. Randall Sequeira (middle in the pic), trekked up a steep, bauxite-rich plateau in Odisha to hold a monsoon health camp in the indigenous Kutiya Kondh village of Kutrumali. In a piece he wrote then titled "Kutrumali’s Demons," Randall described sleeping under a dripping school roof in freezing fog, borrowing utensils from a local health worker to cook khichdi, and waking up at 6 AM to a line of tribal mothers. He wrote with heartbreak about treating malnourished toddlers with protruding bellies and visible ribs, listening to stories of stillbirths and chronic fevers, while noticing the shiny new solar lights installed by a mining conglomerate eyeing the aluminium ore beneath the villagers' feet. Comparing his small medical team to hobbits sheltering in the night, Randall worried about the outside forces coming for that fragile village. Randall stayed with the tribal/ adivasi community to serve them. After St. John’s and an MD in Internal Medicine from SMS Jaipur, he gave up every comfort of urban medicine to live in Kalahandi, recognizing that clinical prescriptions are meaningless when indigenous communities are stripped of their forests, water, and dignity. On the night of October 16, Odisha police picked up Dr. Randall Sequeira and Dalit activist Laxman Naik at 11 PM from his home in Bhawanipatna. A gentle physician who has spent years trekking up hills to save tribal children is now locked in Rayagada sub-jail under frivolous but draconian charges (attempt to murder, dacoity), simply for standing with Adivasis peaceful protesting the mining of their sacred hills in Sijimali and Kutrumali. thewire.in/rights/randall-se… Odisha Govt. said it will cut down forests to connect tribal villages. But it was a way to bypass green laws and fast track London based Vedanta’s, and Adani's mining plans. Local organisations estimate that around 45 villages depend on these hills and would be affected. reporters-collective.in/trc/… The state has answered with repression rather than dialogue. In the last three years, at least 43 police cases have been filed and over a hundred Adivasis and Dalits, both women and men, have been incarcerated in Odisha jails. For example, from In March and april 2026, 8, 2026, to April 8, 2026, within one month, 24 people were sent to jail, 217 were made accused, and the number of “others” total 1,140. An activist who was not named in the original FIRs, but has since been implicated in about 12 cases, so that bail in one case is followed by arrest in another. This pattern of capture and releases have been used to crush rational dissent. Dr. Randall understood that being a good doctor means understanding that prescriptions cannot compensate for the denial of land rights, that surgery cannot undo displacement and that no medical can substitute for the basic infrastructure a government has failed to provide. thehindu.com/sci-tech/health… To my fellow medical fraternity, and every citizen with a conscience: a kind physician who embodies the highest ethics of our profession is being criminalized to clear the way for bauxite mining. Please do not let his voice be buried in a sub-jail. Amplify this, demand due process, and demand the immediate release. Please sign in this form to show solidarity: forms.gle/o2Rj2Uu3tXaoWu9dA If anyone can help out in this situation please reach out to Medico Friend Circle - mfcindia.org/

Absolutely! Saudi Arabia is a barbaric state.
The social media discourse around Saudi Arabia executing two Bangladeshis is stuck on whether they kissed, had sex or did something else. Who gives a fuck? No consensual act warrants execution. Saudi Arabia is a barbaric state and this is nothing but state terrorism.

I think the CEO from UP should stop trying to answer and defend himself. Only seems to be digging a bigger hole for himself. Will surely lead to demands and protests for his ouster.
Hello @ceoup, They reason you are giving now for not taking action against Bulk deletion form submission : "The ECI has issued instructions on this subject on 9th October, 2026 and The SIR in UP was over on 10th April, 2026" But the declaration on Form7 reads.. "I HEREBY DECLARE that to the best of my knowledge and belief that I am aware that making a statement or declaration which is false and which I know or believe to be false or do not believe to be true, is punishable under Section 31 of Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950) with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine or with both." So when is the ARO/AERO/CEO taking action against individual submitting bulk deletion form-7s? @ECISVEEP @SpokespersonECI

Just to set the records straight… For all non-Bengalis who confuse Durga Puja (of Bengal) with Navaratri (outside Bengal), there's a simple big difference in the way it's celebrated. While Navaratri could be religious (as people claim it to be), Durga Puja is a cultural festival. There's a remarkable difference between religion and culture. Why is Durga Puja not religious, but cultural? Here's a Bongs take! 1. For most Bengalis, they have nothing to do with devotion, and everything to do with celebration. Religion (as it has become) is an organized way to deal with devotees, and the Bengalis are far far away from any sort of blind beliefs. 2. God/Goddess is an image that's alienated from family of our own lives and seen as an authority. To Bengalis, Durga is just a part of our family. She could be termed as the Goddess, but never seen with a God-like image. There's way more love than devotion. It's a very human connection. She's the daughter of the house who's come for Autumn break to her parents house with kids and friends 3. While people outside Bengal may fast as much as they like, Bengalis will continue to feast on Mutton Biriyanis and all sorts of delicious non-veg food (even at Puja premises where organizers often arrange for meals). Had there been any religious angle, things might not have been so simple. 4. Durga Puja as a festival is deeply connected to arts, crafts, music, theater, films ... everything! It's an all-round celebration. Only a very tiny percentage of people would bother to offer prayers. For the rest of us, Durga and the spirit of Durga puja is all in our heart. Even if we offer 'Anjali' (a prayer), our eyeballs hover all over the surrounding beauties in laal-paar-sada-sarees (a beautiful dress that ladies prefer to wear). 5. Durga puja is all-inclusive. Many Muslims in Bengal celebrate it too. Even there are religious Muslims who are the Presidents and Secretaries of Puja committees. No 'religious' festival could ever break these barriers! 6. There are hundreds of government and private awards given for 'Best Puja'. Not a single parameter in judgement relates to the devotion aspect of it. The Best Puja judgement takes into consideration the artistic finesse of the idol-making, the decorations around it, the lights, the sound, the safety measures, the theme, the concept, the social relevance of the theme, etc. It never considers how devotedly people offer prayers. So, devotion doesn't even come in our way of celebrating Durga Puja. For those who have never witnessed Durga puja in Kolkata but have a lot to comment on it, please do make a visit. Your idea of a festival will change. Our country had no religion, but we thrived on our culture. It's time we pack religions into the sacks and throw them back to the western world (from where it has come) and fall back on our all-inclusive cultural ways of celebrating life once again. The UP SIR seems to be another large scale fraudulent activity by the government. Supported and managed end to end by a supplicant and complicit ECI. No wonder the CEC is not going to resign before the UP elections. And no way are the electoral rolls going to be rolled back.
Hello, Mr. Navdeep Rinwa @ceoup. Stop acting like a troll by threatening citizens who point out flaws in SIR. The SIR exercise in Uttar Pradesh was completed and the final electoral rolls were published in April 2026. Yet duplicate entries remain unresolved. Wasn’t eliminating duplicate entries one of the central objectives of this entire exercise? Also, do you understand sarcasm? “Buy one, get one free” was precisely that. In your own tweet, you acknowledge issuing four voter ID cards with different EPIC numbers to one person. How did four applications in the same person’s name pass scrutiny and result in four separate voter IDs? Submitting four Form6 applications is wrong. Accepting and processing those duplicate requests exposes an even bigger failure in verification. What is the point of SIR if your system cannot detect repeated applications from the same person? If someone applies for fresh enrolment ten times, will @ECISVEEP issue ten different voter IDs? Further, according to the Form 9 records uploaded on your own UP CEO website, Mr. Sundar submitted Form 6 on January 6 and again on January 14. We have the data for that booth. These are your own official records. This data was uploaded on your own UP CEO website. Also Please upload all Form9s on your website. Many are still missing. Instead of threatening us, Please put more efforts on fixing the failures instead of threatening citizens who expose them. There are many such cases, Let me share a few more examples here. Follow below thread. 🧵🔥

Be kind The per capita income of UP< Nepal and human development is at level of a low income African country The state only knows violence No wonder the ceo sounds like someone in a banana republic trying to brazen out his incompetence- for he is in a banana republic !!
Mr Fact-checker please fact-check your own facts. There is no such scheme as “Buy one Get one free” scheme by Election Commission. As per your post, the voter had submitted only two applications and he got 4 EPIC cards. This statement is false. The voter had submitted 4 applications. If you want to dispute our facts then you post the reference numbers of two applications that you claim he had submitted and we will post the reference number of the remaining two. The problem of generation of multiple EPICs on submission of multiple forms of an individual is a long standing one. We do deduplication through ECINET periodically. We are on path to achieving the objective of catching multiple forms submitted by an individual at the submission stage only. We will achieve our objective very soon. Please do not incite people by making patently false statements about ECI and thereby trying to create disaffection among the citizens towards a Constitutional Body. You are advised to rectify your mistake by amending or deleting your post after completing your own due diligence now that you have been informed by us about your wrong information.

"Pushed manufacturing"? Yea right, I guess the 2014 Make in India promise of 25% share of manufacturing in GDP was achieved. No? Yea, because it actually went down. Decade of PLI, make in India, lion logos - and share has still decreased lmao. Also please, comparing Sanyal to Jean Dreze is like comparing a WhatsApp forward with a peer-reviewed article. Sanyal doesn't have the qualification, aptitude, or moral integrity to be compared to Dreze. At best, Sanyal is a fiction writer - AT BEST.
Sanyal’s economic policies have fixed the system through process reforms, improved ease of doing business and pushed Indian manufacturing, generating jobs for millions. Imagine comparing him with some mid-wit who rather you dig up holes and fill them up for a meagre daily wage.

Sanyal, Dreze is worth 100 of you. A far far far better economist than you, with your supplicant mediocrity, would ever be. And an infinitely better human being who’s done more for India than you or ideological forefathers have ever done.
His work was funded by Ford Foundation and McArthur Foundation. How many million years would it take to those "100 workers" to match billionaires like Henry Ford and John McArthur? Or is this calculation meant only for the non-white billionaires? Saving Indian souls - backed by western business - is a very old game.....

This is the right measure. For hospital AI, the bottleneck isn't compute, it's good clinical data from Indian settings: how a Tier 2/3 OPD actually runs, how its records are written, how its doctors decide. Whoever builds that ground truth carefully builds the moat.

Arindam Goswami (@AriGos) writes for @IndianExpress on why India should stop counting its AI chips and start asking for results. He argues that scarcity isn’t chips but the expert-written tasks and marking schemes needed to make models useful in Indian law, medicine, farming and languages. He urges tying compute to model performance and funding experts to build open evaluation sets. Read more: tinyurl.com/ms4yart6
