@BethRigby Does this look like something that had been ducked? As you claimed yesterday. You and @ChrisMasonBBC get away with blatant lies because in @Ofcom we have a very weak regulator and a hopeless SoS @DCMS

Imo if Zelensky had destroyed the Russian data centres last year we'd still have Keir Starmer as PM.
The PLP thought they were being so clever. In fact they panicked over/cynically used a disproportionate unpopularity they didn't understand the origin of.
Useful idiots at best.

Upsetting health update on the Pope, who is, even to a non religious person like me, one of the only positive influences on world politics in this horrific era and someone I deeply admire. I hope it has been contained early and is curable. 🙏

Wow. Someone in the media saying how it really is!!
Good news re UK growth so let’s not forget it was our first female Chancellor @RachelReevesMP who deserves some credit. You don’t turn an economy around in two months! apple.news/AuDcKQpAGSfiUz99F…

Rachel Reeves unpopular? Not with me she wasn't. A lot of people who'd deny they were sexist or mysognist nonetheless were. She did a remarkable job in madly difficult circumstances (as is becoming clear) and didn't deserve the huge disrespect any more than Starmer did.

Despite all the negativity thrown at me, I never wavered on my support for Keir Starmer. I thought he was, in the main, excellent. Although far from perfect.
Can I just make it clear I won’t be changing my mind on Burnham. Unless/until he actually does something. As in deeds.

Remarkable - few weeks in office PM and Chancellor have worked a miracle - IMF reports U.K. economy would expand by 1.3% in 2026, up from the 1% it predicted in July. Of course we all know it’s the work of Starmer Government and Reeves should get the credit. But will they?!

If the Tories keep saying they made ‘mistakes’ they think we will eventually forgive them.
They didn’t make Mistakes they deliberately set out to make themselves and the rich, richer. Whilst imposing austerity on the rest of us.
Not mistakes. Deliberate actions.

Burnham going to Germany today formally ratify 2025 Kensington Treaty, partnership to deeper cooperation on science, technology, defence, security and growth.
All work of Starmer government - lucky boy Burnham!

He will not be robbed of justice, the truth will come out, I can feel it in my bones.
When something doesn’t feel right, it’s usually not right and in Noah’s case, too many things feel totally wrong.

The double standard is hard to miss isn’t it.
@andyburnham can apparently work Monday to Friday...9–5...with weekends off.. and it’s treated as perfectly normal.
Yet when @Keir_Starmer wanted to keep Friday nights for his family.. he was slated by one and all.
Apparently now according to certain people and the media having time with your family is perfectly reasonable for a PRIME MINISTER...
JUST NOT KEIR STARMER....interesting wouldn't you say.

I want the triple lock to go. It's actually getting embarrassing. I'm not rich but I don't think my pension should continue to rise faster than the pay of people who are suffering immense working poverty. And if care gets sorted out, the old, like me, will benefit enormously.

Chris Philp: we added 14,000 prison places. The smug prick thought he’d got away with a bare faced lie.
Sally Nugent: You added 14,000 but closed 13,500 so net gain 500. That wiped the grin off Gulper Philp’s face.

To: @darrenpjones If you can get yourself together and get all the decent Labour MPs with you I will donate every penny I’ve not paid to the Labour Party to your Labour Party. And double it. And rejoin immediately.
In you I trust.

We have been so lied to. The fake polls that bigged up Reform. The ONS telling us we were the worst country for workers in the West. The media lying daily. Burnham feeding media lies to bring down our Government. I’m so sick of being lied to.

This.
I wish people would stop calling these masked men in the streets ‘protestors’.
They’re thugs. Masked men, lots with prior convictions for a string of crimes, many against women, intimidating people, attacking emergency workers and abusing people.
These masked thugs need watching, which is why there is such a large police presence.

@darrenpjones “I was approached indirectly & asked whether I would call for Keir to resign in return for something but I was very clear I wasn’t going to do that. [A cabinet job] was my interpretaion of the message but that’s just not how I conduct myself.”
Darren is the man! He doesn't hold back here; just tells the truth, absolutely unafraid, about how badly @Keir_Starmer was treated, and about the grubby deals most of Burnham's cabinet made. And the New Statesman talks openly about the coup. That would be the one @andyburnham denied all knowledge of, fluttering his eyelashes.
Darren does it all so pleasantly; that's the part I love! He also talks about his own politics. He's the centrist that's missing now that Keir is gone. It's good to have it out in the open. He's not undermining Burnham, but I think he's a PM in waiting.
