It will also help me to see where my heart rate sits whilst exercising and help me to improve my fitness! Over the next 16 months I’m going to be attempting something absolutely massive. I am going to be walking/cycling halfway around the world on a quarter of a lung (12,000miles) all in aid of raising vital funds for 3 charities, Royal Papworth Charity (@papworthcharity), The Cystic Fibrosis Unit at NUH (@NUH_CFUnit) and Palace For Life Foundation (@PalaceForLife). The goal is to raise at least £10,000 to split between the 3 charities. This challenge would be difficult enough for a completely healthy able bodied human, but when you take into account I function on just 24% of my lungs, it puts into perspective just how difficult this is going to be. I will be posting here at regular intervals to keep everyone updated on the progress but also in an attempt to help raise as much money as possible for the 3 charities.
