Local residents, John and Gill have installed a rainbow bench by St Cuthbert’s Church on Sandy Park Road. The bench is dedicated to their daughter, Hellen, who died in 2024.
The builder installed the bench today, Mon 19th Oct, on the second anniversary of Hellen’s passing.
The @LibDems are calling on the Chancellor to introduce a £14bn “breathing space package”. The fully funded package would combine an Essential Energy Guarantee with cuts to fuel duty, rail and bus fares, VAT on kerbside EV charging and hospitality VAT.

Bristol Liberal Democrats have led the development of the city’s new library strategy, which marks a new chapter for the service which saw so many years of stealth cuts under Bristol Labour. Following the securing of the budget by the Liberal Democrats the service faces no cuts.
The PM has announced the plan to scrap first past the post. Of course we’ve been here before.

Great news! The lane connecting Kenneth Road and Callington Road has finally reopened after many, many months of closure while nearby construction work took place. However, it’s all rather overgrown so we have asked the council to tidy it up.
